Is the Lugia from that movie this very same Lugia? When Hoopa summoned it through the Hoopa Ring to battle Hoopa Unbound, Ash recognized Lugia and asked it to help, like he knew it. And it didn't exactly argue, being more than willing to go in and fight Hoopa Unbound despite being just thrown into a random situation. ::Thing is Ash's reaction and how Lugia protected to him do seem to imply Ash had met it before but he had the same interactions with Rayquaza and the Latis; he has never met a shiny Rayquaza and the only Latios he has met either belonged to a trainer or died.
