May I ask why it's so important Glitches are included as Pokémon? I personally don't consider something a pokemon if it was because of a glitch in a reletively unadvanced game (in today's standards, pretty high tech back when it came out).--Chris Broach (talk) 20:08, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

Should Shedninja be in a different section?
Shedinja is in the section takes 20 power damage from low kick and grass knot. But shedinja is immune to those moves because of wonder guard. So.... where does it go? Boorider7 (talk) 13:41, 27 September 2015 (UTC)
:You could also ask the same about any Ghost Pokemon (immune to Low Kick) or Pokemon with Sap Sipper (immune to Grass Knot). (Short answer: it'd get way too confusing, not gonna happen.) At any rate, it's not impossible to get around Wonder Guard (or a Ghost immunity or Sap Sipper). But the most important thing is really, this page is a list ordered by weight; the consequences of that are secondary. == Split? ==
I was thinking whether to split "Weight" off this page. In contrast to height, it is a game mechanic, and with a proper article, we could reduce the text on Autotomize's article, for example. I don't know if it's exhaustive enough for an independent article, so I'd like to have another opinion before actually tagging it. I personally think page size shouldn't really be an issue (for example, grounded is pretty much needed imo). == Forms ==
Just wondering, what's the standard for displaying forms on this page? Obviously, we separate them out when their weight changes between forms, but when they stay the same, the page varies between displaying them on timers (eg. Oricorio, Wormadam, Gastrodon), not displaying them at all (eg. Keldeo, Rotom, Burmy), or separating them out anyways (eg. Greninja, Core Form Minior before I changed it the other day). Castform in particular shows its forms on a timer on the height page, but not at all on this one. I know it's probably not practical to show Pokémon with lots of forms (Unown, Arceus) or only minor differences (Pichu) on timers (I was actually under the impression that we stopped using timers like this a while back, apparently not).
Additionally, is there a reason Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist have their form names displayed in line instead of as subscripts? "Mega", "Alolan", "Ash-" I can understand, but Pumpkaboo/Gourgeist sizes don't seem to fit with those, or maybe I'm just being picky.
This concern also applies to List of Pokémon by height and any similar pages, I guess--<font color="teal">Cold</font> <small>(<font color="turquoise">talk</font>)</small> 18:26, 28 January 2018 (UTC)
:I'm kind of more surprised we switch Meloetta's forms than that Keldeo and such don't have any forms included. If we do Meloetta, go ahead and do it for the Keldeo group too.
:Part of me kind of wonders if we should be showing Ash-Greninja. Like, we don't show Cosplay Pikachu or Spiky-eared Pichu in any way. (I can't think off the top of my head if there are any other similar examples.)
:(FYI, the switches were mostly a concern on Pokemon pages.)
:The names should be more or less official usage or something. If you've got a specific counter-example, I'll look it all over more closely. Tiddlywinks (talk) 05:28, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
Totem Pokémon and template trouble
Totem Pokémon and the totem-sized Pokémon available in USUM have different weights from their normal-sized counterparts, so they ought to be listed separately here like any other form that affects weight. The only problem, then, is that the weight/entry template rather inelegantly pulls the form names from a lookup table according to the menu sprite used, rather than allowing the form names to be defined in their own parameter like the display names (which have parameters <code>n1</code> through <code>n6</code>). You can already see the effects of this with Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist—since the different sizes don't have different menu sprites, the article has
:Average Size Pumpkaboo
rather than the more reasonable
:Pumpkaboo<br><small>Average Size</small>
And I feel like "Totem-sized Alolan Marowak" would be really clumsy-looking in bold text. The best solution would be to add another parameter to weight/entry (probably <code>f1</code> through <code>f6</code>) to provide form names, and do away with the menu-sprite lookup table. (And while we're at it, height/entry could use the same treatment.) I'd probably be figuring out how to this myself if the templates weren't both protected. — Randomwaffle23 (talk) 20:43, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!
In the new games, Pokémon can have different weight than the Average weight for a species. I was going to add something, but I'm not quite sure how to put it in there with the fact that I don't know if it affects any game mechanics. -<span style="color:lightbrown">EVs</span><small><span style="color:black">and</span></small><span style="color:green">IVsaurs</span> 00:56, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
Merging 3 identical sections?
The following sections have the same properties:
204.8 kg to 209.9 kg
210.0 kg to 279.9 kg
280.0 kg to 299.9 kg
Shouldn't we merge them? Y2110 (talk) 14:40, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
Unless there's a way to actually set these three apart, I'd say yeah, we can merge them. --Flashlight237 (talk) 17:14, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
:Those sections were distinguished due to the "Compare" section of the Pokémon X and Y Pokédex. However, it's probably not necessary to split the sections on this page on that basis, when that distinction is incredibly trivial and not even noted on this page. --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 17:21, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

Official site
This Pokedex site can list Pokemon by weight and is putting all gigantamax Pokemon before the rest for some reason in order from heaviest:
:Centiskorch - Duraludon - Coalossal - Inteleon - Snorlax - Meowth - Grimmsnarl - Alcremie - Urshifu RS - Charizard - Rillaboom - Cinderace - Hatterene - Urshifu SS - Blastoise - Machamp - Venusaur - Lapras - Drednaw - Flapple - Appletun - Toxtricity AF - Toxtricity LKF - Copperajah - Sandaconda - Pikachu - Garbodor - Gengar - Kingler - Eevee - Butterfree - Corviknight - Orbeetle
Their property is set as: "data-weight="999.99", but I still don't know what creates this particular order.--<span style="color:#CC0000">Rocket</span> <span style="color:#666666">Grunt</span> 19:02, 30 October 2022 (UTC)
: If you go to the actual pages, the weight is listed as "???.?". That's most likely why they are listed first. Why they are listed in that particular order is probably irrelevant as there are numerous cases of identically weighted Pokémon and they have to go in some kind of order and what that order ends up being is likely just determined by whatever sort/search method they used. ::Oh oops, missed the data-weight variable, found it now. Ignore my first point. Exempt-Medic
:::They are listed by height. Sort it by "Highest Height (First)" and you will get the same order. Reason for it is probably because they cannot just not list them.
