::Considering that pinyin is promoted by the PRC in other countries through foreign language courses, more people are likely going to learn pinyin anyway. To anyone who took courses in Chinese, Yale would confuse them after getting used to pinyin. Besides, you can argue the same thing about French, but we don't have a pronunciation guide on it.
