::::::::Splits should be made when there is too much information to keep in one article, not by any patterns. The difference between Misty and Iris is that Misty has a huge history in the franchise with several Pokémon under her name, appearances as a Gym Leader in every generation, a main character role in the anime for 5 years, lots of manga appearances and even trading cards. Wheras Iris... hasn't actually appeared outside of brief previews yet.
