So Heatran really do have a new form, given the new evidence! I wonder if they'll create a 4th version of DP and have it as the mascot! Um, or they will simply give out a item that will transfer it to the new form in a event!-Billy4b2004 11:34, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

Well. I've the PMD2 pokedex like brochure on the net,it wasnt really a good resolution and captions were written to clarify, same thing written about heatran evolution and giratina evolution, so we got a 50% chance that Pokémon A in movie 12 is a new forme heatran OR Arceus.--Nobody777 11:55, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Couldn't it be possible that the "tran" in Heatran's name could be from transgender or Transsexualism? --Mr.lol 14:24, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
:The prefix for those words is trans-, not tran-. And I don't see how this could relate to Heatran. --Maxim 14:28, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Not fastest hatch rate of legendarys
It says in the trivia of Heatran's page that it and Manaphy have the fastest hatch rate of all legendary pokemon. This is false since Heatran has a hatch rate of 11 cycles, whereas Mew has a hatch rate of only 2 cycles. Blaze B75 23:23, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
Heatran CAN breed.
On THREE different copies of Pokemon Diamond, me and my brother captured heatran (all females, I might add) and placed each one in the breeding center with a Ditto. End result: A ton of little baby Heatran running around. It was kinda crazy. Unfortunately, at least two of the copies seem to have disappeared but as soon as I find the third- WAIT I think I know where my Soulsilver is, I could hack in a Heatran with a pokemon modifier or something. But the point: Heatran are NOT in the No-Egg group, at least not in Diamond/Pearl. Note that the Trivia section mentions the inability to breed.
EDIT: I will add a video link as soon as it's successful.

:::::If I show the AR codes used (to show that it's ONLY changing the pokemon to a heatran or someting like that) will that be proof enough for you? I guess all the Heatran we put in in DP were female, if that has anything to do with anything. Your Buddy Bill 12:40, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
::::::Being male or female has nothing to do with it, "The two prefer to play with other Pokémon more than with each other." There's your answer, Heatran can't breed. Not only is it concrete in the game's code, do you honestly not think that someone would have tried breeding their Heatran before in the past 5 years? - <span style="color:navy">Blazios</span> <span style="color:limegreen">talk</span> 14:00, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
The Weather Quartet!
I just got some similarities with Heatran, Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza: They represent the earth's core, the earth's landmass, the earth's sea and the earth's sky. Together they represent water, earth, fire and air. They are all created at an indispensable part of earth. They all are also guardians of a treasure of the seven treasures. == Origin of Heatran's Name in Japanese ==
Dear all users of Bulbapedia,
In Japanese Pokemon Encyclopaedia, Heatran's page (http://wiki.xn--rckteqa2e.com/wiki/%E3%83%92%E3%83%BC%E3%83%89%E3%83%A9%E3%83%B3) tells that ...
"Heatran"[Hii-doran] comes from the words: 火 ("Hi"; fire), Ὕδρα (Hydra, the Lernaean), with combination of Heat and Dragon.
Should we have to edit the section about its origin name in Japanese? Beacuse I also think that its name does not simply come from heat and transfer.
Thank you for attention!

The Jaune Plaza Thing
I don't know for certain but I'm pretty sure I heard that the Trivia bit about Jaune Plaza is an English mistranslation. I think in the Japanese version, one of the ladies in the plaza imitates Heatran's cry, and the other dude says that he thinks there must be a lava dome Pokémon somewhere in the plaza. (Because her imitation is so good.)
I dunno. Can someone confirm this? Qwertyo76
:I found a Japanese video with those two women, and all the first says is, "I hear there's a Pokemon in Jaune Plaza". The second line also got embellished a bit in the English, because the Japanese doesn't include any sort of laugh like in the English games. So together that seems pretty suspect.
:On the other hand, I can't be sure of this, but I have this idea that those two women don't always say the same lines, so it may be possible that there's still another Japanese line. Tiddlywinks (talk) 03:18, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
Catching one? (Why is this info never on the Pokemon pages?)
Why is there NO INFO AT ALL on how to catch a Heatran in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum? There's barely even info related to the Magma Stone or anything.
Why do you guys purposely leave out important information like this on the main page of the Pokemon or erase it whenever someone tries to edit in the information on where to find or catch a Pokemon at. This was also the case for Spiritomb, which has NO information on how to get one at (and had the info erased when I myself tried to add it in.) It's a shame I have to go to another website just to find basic info on how to actually CATCH a Heatran, something that should be right on the main paragraph of the Pokemon's page, assuming it's a legendary or hard/complicated to get. Mcheetah
:It was explained to you why your Spiritomb edit was reverted. You tried to put it in the intro, when such info belongs in the Game locations section if anywhere. The same goes for any details regarding the Magma Stone.
:You kind of need to rein in your frustration a bit. No one has prevented you from trying to improve this page or any other page relevant to the Magma Stone/catching Heatran. The next time, before jumping to a talk page to yell about the wiki's failings, please try to improve it yourself first. (And don't use your reversion on Spiritomb as an excuse. Your mistake was well explained to you, you should be able to learn from it. If you're not confident, you can always ask for help. That would be much more productive than throwing out accusations.)
:Also, please try to remember to sign your posts. Tiddlywinks (talk) 22:12, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
::Heatran_(Pokémon)#Game_locations.
