Since the Froakie and Togepi were, in fact, gifts, should their moves be considered event moves in the vein of 's V-create and Shiny Entei's Flare Blitz? - <span style="color:#F85888">Chosen</span> <span style="color:#6890F0">of</span> <span style="color:#F8D030">Mana</span> 13:51, 22 April 2015 (UTC)

:The main difference is that the event Pokémon were distributed for the main games with the move in question. As for the Gift Froakie and Togepi, it's best if we don't list their illegal moves as event moves; that could create confusion. Morimonto's Flareon in BDSP has Superpower, but it can't learn it without a transfer, which is currently impossible. Does this count as an error? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 20:59, 26 November 2021 (UTC)

:This seems like a fairly similar case to Lysandre's Gyarados's Iron Head, which is already noted on the page. I would suggest including it in the "Unobtainable until a later game in the generation" section (although perhaps that section could be renamed to be more precise, like "Unobtainable at the game's release"). --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 09:59, 27 November 2021 (UTC)

Return in BDSP Trailer
In the BDSP trailer, you can see one of the contest competitors using a Pikachu with Return, even though return was removed in Gen 8 and can't be used. https://youtu.be/Ds-q9mQXDdY?t=442 Should this be added under promotional materials or unusable moves? 19secondrespawntimes (talk) 21:49, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
* Because the error doesn't exist in the game itself, it would go in the promotional materials section. bwburke94 (talk) 14:52, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
Text redundancy
Per this forum post, we should remove redundant text like "this Pokémon cannot legitimately learn that move". What do you think? --<span style="font-family:Corbel,sans-serif"><span style="color:#4ed">Bfdi</span><span style="color:#3f3">fan</span><span style="color:#ea4">2006</span></span> 16:50, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
:I'll cut down on some of the redundancy. bwburke94 (talk) 00:29, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
Illegal Gengar
Someone in Pocket Monsters Stadium has a Gengar with Hydro Pump and Transform, though it can't learn these move legally. TogekissFan4956 (talk) 15:06, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
Rotom
In Sun and Moon, there was a Rotom Fan that knew Blizzard and A Rotom Frost that knew Air Slash. They were fixed in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, but I feel like this should be included.

* Do you know exactly where they were? Were they random trainers or Battle Tree or what? -- Guiltysparkzz (talk) 17:23, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
**They were Battle Tree Pokémon. I believe you can find them if you go to the list of Battle Tree Pokémon; https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Battle_Tree_Pok%C3%A9mon
**Also even while some other Pokémon in the Battle Tree/Royal Dome had illegal moves, like the Shell Smash Kommo-o, those ones got patched in updates for Sun & Moon. But they didn't fix this one until the games got remade. -- Power-Point Panpour (talk) 17:57, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
*** Added it, thanks for the tip! --Guiltysparkzz (talk) 18:26, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
