They have Pokémon that appear in the box arts, but these aren't version mascots. Only the main handheld games have actual version mascots. :Agreed. Munchlax and Piplup aren't mascots of Shadows of Almia any more than Alakazam is a mascot of PMD Blue Rescue Team. However, I will argue that Shadow Lugia is the mascot of XD because it's the only side game whose boxart only features one Pokémon.
