I don't know how correct that staff number is. To be honest, I can't remember where the info came from in the first place. Maybe someone could look into this? - Ferret 21:29, 27 Feb 2005 (UTC)

It's 46 according to the official website. I corrected it so.--Sno 11:59, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Aren't their HQ in Ceruluan ?--Mko 20:29, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

In-game, I believe they're in Celadon. --Pie 21:05, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Why doesn't Game Freak use Kanji in their Pokemon games?

Why doesn't Game Freak use Kanji in their Pokemon games?

More than 1900 of them exist on the list of jōyō kanji, the official list of kanji used by the Japanese government and taught to students in Japanese schools. Hiragana and katakana, however, amount to just about 100 when put together. Considering Pokémon's supposed to be for all ages, they don't throw in difficult-as-hell kanji that kids won't know, especially ones that look really indistinguishable on a small screen. I say in RGBY/GSC it was mostly a space issue, but the continuation of it is likely due to tradition and so you only need a basic reading level to get what it means.
Alternatively, I could be a jerk and say "they do, 円 is the currency, and 月, 日, and 年 appear on the Trainer card in Gen IV for the date you began your game". TTEchidna 05:37, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

The magazine

If someone has it, a scan of the front cover would be a really awesome addition to the page. TTEchidna 05:37, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

I went to a videogame exhibition called Game On, full of old stuff and concept art from several game franchises. On the Pokémon booth, there were some Game Freak magazines exposed there and I took some pictures: Here and here. KurowaSan 01:55, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
If you upload the pictures the the Bulbagarden Archives, I'm sure we could find a place for it on the page. Also just take note to the date of comments you reply to as it's a policy not to reply to comments 6 months or older. Now is fine though since you have something new to add. :) --Pokemaster97 01:58, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

Yup looks good to me. --Pokemaster97 02:38, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

Location in Black and White

Is it worth mentioning that their office in Castelia is on the 22nd floor, just like their real office? --Darth Zekrom 19:26, 17 January 2012 (UTC)

Maybe it'd be notable in the trivia section. --Pokemaster97 19:29, 17 January 2012 (UTC)

Logo Screen

The Game Freak Logo screen does not appear in the intros of X and Y, Sun and Moon, or Ultra Sun and Moon. Therefore, if somebody added the one from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, could we remove the diglett header about how there are pictures from Gen VI and VII missing? --LavaringX (talk) 01:50, 22 February 2019 (UTC)

Missing thumbnails

In the "Logo screen section" there are missing thumbnails, this also does apply to few other articles. As a rookie editor I don't know how to fix it, if someone does, it would be very much appreciated. - unsigned comment from RothRothMan (talkcontribs)

This is as a result of some recent maintenance. The thumbnails will be back to normal shortly. --SnorlaxMonster 13:14, 15 February 2020 (UTC)

Pokémon designers list

Is this page the best place to keep this list? The list itself is important to have, but I'm not sure if they're "key people" for Game Freak, in part because quite a few of them weren't/aren't employed by Game Freak and did/do contracted work for the company.
