Is it just me or that back sprite looks a little... glitchy? Cause it isn't usual to have a brightly colored outline and then darker colors and shading, but meh. :P <span style="color:#E75480;">TinaTheKirlia</span> <span style="color:#E75480;">♪</span><span style="color:#E75480;">☆</span> 16:57, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

::Thanks, I forgot.  I just meant instead of cramming all four backsprites into sections of the box, it could cycle the way the Arceus sprite near the top of the page does.  I was also thinking that we could do that for the GenIV ones because you can get all 4.  We could also do it with Castform, Cherrim, Arceus, Unown, Burmy, Wormadam, Giratina, Shaymin, Rotom... The sprites could even cycle whenever the moving (Emerald + GenIV) sprites animation finishes.MisterE13 19:08, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

:::That would be an epic pain. Plus, the only way to do that would be to change the nice, crisp pngs into crappy 256-color gifs, so everyone could see them. And that's a definite no. Anipngs would be for the animation of the sprites, not for showing all of them. The way we've got it is just fine, as far as I'm concerned, since you can click the images anyway to get to the fullsize versions. And we're not doing one of those stupid gifs for everyone. What would happen if one got to Birth Island before getting National Dex in FRLG (since Sevii Islands are available after 7 badges, and in these games National Dex is awarded upon capturing 60 Pokémon, not beating E4). And I mean via Aurora Ticket. Marked +-+-+ 08:19, 14 October 2011 (UTC)

New event Deoxys
Shouldn't someone edit the Event box to say that the new event Deoxys will be handed out fro May 8-31? PokefanR (talk) 02:33, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
:No, not yet anyway, because there isn't an official title for the event. When there is an official title for the event it will be added, otherwise the section will require editing multiple times for one event. == Mistake in Trivia ==
"As of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Deoxys is the first and currently only Event-exclusive Pokémon to become available in-game, effectively losing its Event-exclusive status."
Deoxys is the third event-exclusive Pokemon to lose its exclusivity. Zorua and Zoroark were event-exclusive in Black and White. Pokemega32 (talk) 07:56, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
Eh, I think it means Event-exclusive legendaries since, although Zorua and Zoroark are event exclusive to BW they can still be bred, while legendaries can't(with the obvious exception of the Sea Guardian Duo)User:Animaltamer709:16, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
Designer: Hironobu Yoshida or Ken Sugimori?
While I don't doubt Bulbapedia's information, as it's probably more accurate then the sources I'm about to state, both the Wikipedia article for Dexoys and the 2015 Guinness Book of World Records: Gamer's Edition state that Ken Sugimori designed the character and not Hironobu Yoshida.  --<span style="color:#A70000">evacino</span><span style="color:#0000A7"> (talk)</span> 01:41, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
:Neither this article nor Wikipedia cites a source for their claim, so I don't know which is correct. The GBoWR is not the most reliable book for non-world record info; in fact, they probably just got the info from Wikipedia. However, I also find it odd that you're asking this, since you were the one who added Deoxys's designer to this page in the first place; what was your source when you did so? --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 02:01, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
::Oh snap! You are totally right, I do remember adding that now you have reminded me. I just looked back through my documents and I have found my original log of evidence (with a new source I found by Googling just now which is a Japanese Twitter page): "A source that predates this is a Spanish(?) Pokémon wiki that was initially added 2nd Nov 2013. The very earliest I can seem to find in English though is from summer 2013, and it's this forum stating the Pokémon he created are: Wobbufett, Deoxys, Celebi, Dunsparce and Magmortar. Though the sources are stated to be from Bulbapedia originally, a link is not given. To me, the most likely reason is that it originates from Hironobu illustrating the Deoxys cards for the TCG. I went to Wikipedia to look back at the Deoxys page history and the source given does not actually state Ken designed it - or anyone for that matter, though it quotes 'Deoxys was created by Ken Sugimori with the aid of a development team' in the 2010 Wikipedia article itself. Since then, a source for this claim is needed on Wikipedia.
::I decided to look into some Japanese websites and this Yahoo answer from 2012 states similarly to the English forum. I found this twitter post which, while posted this year, seems to contain a screenshot of a strategy guide containing Hironobu's creator profile, where he is credited for creating Deoxys. I read more into this guide and apparently it is from an official strategy book - I still need to find a full visual source though. Then I found this site. The person on this site wanted to find out who designed Darkrai, and they found what seems to be a lot of evidence. This, along with many other Japanese sites also having this information, seems relatively convincing to me and, if right, would mean he would have designed Darkrai as well. Still, it would seem strange I haven't found a source from the developers mouths - though that doesn't seem to happen often anyway." I'm really not sure how I forgot about most of this, I guess it's because I didn't think it would ever be worthwhile. Still, this is all the information I found so make of it what you will.
::On an unrelated note, I just realized are User/Talk signatures are eerily similar. I copied the font type and colour from my school wiki blog when I first made my profile, but it seems so close to yours maybe they got the code originally from you.  --<span style="color:#A70000">evacino</span><span style="color:#0000A7"> (talk)</span> 03:51, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
Mythical?
Is Deoxys still Mythical, even though it is obtainable through normal gameplay? Flanl (talk) 23:09, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
:This survey strongly implies Deoxys is not a Mythical Pokémon. The question says "Which of these are your favorite Mythical Pokémon? (Choose your top 3.)", and includes every Mythical Pokémon, but not Phione or Deoxys.--<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 11:20, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
