*It is nearly impossible to get a [[Alternate_coloration|shiny]] Manaphy. Due to a coding, as well as a shiny check fucntion (which prevents Mystery Gift from being shiny by regenerating a new PID until the Pokémon isn't shiny), in the games, it is impossible to get a shiny [[Mystery_Gift|mystery gift ]] Pokémon. However, obtaining a shiny Manaphy is possible. This is possible by trading your Manaphy egg to a friend, and having them hatch the egg. The reason this works is also due to the coding, and the shiny check function, the egg hatching trainers' PID go isn't written onto the Pokémon until after the shiny check goes through. Basically, if you trade your Manaphy egg to be hatched, you may get a shiny (Note: it will still have the normal 1/8192 possibility). However, if you don't trade your egg, there is '''no''' chance of it being a shiny.
