This glitch does not occur if a Pokémon that isn't Vivillon (or a blank Wonder Card entry) is shown in between (for example, if the player viewed Vivillon, then {{p|Torchic}}, then Vivillon).  It is believed that this occurs because the Pokémon are the same species (Pokédex entry) and the game isn't programmed to recognize the change in design or otherwise flush out the existing Wonder Card before loading the new one.
 The glitch also occurs if the player changed pages to get to the second Vivillon, though at least five Wonder Cards would be required because Wonder Cards can't be moved into empty spaces.
