Legendary giants: Difference between revisions

Unlike previous trios, the titans share very similar names, and their types are further estranged from the original {{t|Fire}}, {{t|Ice}}, and {{t|Electric}} that the [[legendary birds|birds]] take on (two of the [[legendary beasts|beasts]] share types with the birds, while only {{p|Regice|one of the titans}} does). Like them, however, these three have a [[trio master|master]] (and like the beasts, a creator) in {{p|Regigigas}}.

Also shared among the members of this trio is a weakness to {{type|Fighting}} moves. Each has seven dots for eyes, arranged in a different pattern, similar to the [[braille]] that is connected to their legend. Unlike the birds and beasts, the titans do not have {{a|Pressure}} as their Ability, though they do share the Ability {{a|Clear Body}}. They are the slowest of all legendary Pokémon.

All three legendary titans are obtainable in the [[Underground Ruins]]. However, to access the rooms where Registeel and Regice are, special keys are required to enter. The two keys which can be obtained after facing Regirock can only be found in one of the games. The Iron Key for Registeel is found in Black 2 and the Iceberg Key for Regice is in White 2. It is still possible to use the [[Unova Link]] to upload data for that key into the other game to get Regice in Black 2 or Registeel in White 2 once the key from the other version has been found.

The legendary titans made their debut in ''[[M08|Lucario and the Mystery of Mew]]'', guarding the [[Tree of Beginning]] from intruders. They each followed {{Ash}}, {{an|Brock}}, {{an|May}}, [[Max]], [[Kidd Summers|Kidd]], [[Jessie]], and [[James]] throughout the tunnel network beneath the Tree of Beginning. Once the intruders had all been consumed by the Tree, the legendary titans retreated.

The legendary titans made their anime debuts under the ownership of [[Pyramid King Brandon|Brandon]], each of which battled Ash's Pokémon throughout his journey to collect the [[Symbol]]s. When Ash had finally defeated Regice, he was awarded the Brave Symbol.

The legendary titans, along with {{p|Regigigas}}, also appeared in ''[[DP129|Pillars of Friendship!]]''.

The legendary titans make two major appearances and a cameo appearance in [[Pokémon Adventures]].

In the {{chap|Emerald}}, {{FB|Pyramid King|Brandon}} (with the help of [[Scott]]) relocated the titans and captured all three of them. He used them in his battle against {{adv|Emerald}}, starting the battle with Regirock and ending it with Regice.

In the {{chap|HeartGold & SoulSilver}}, it was revealed that {{FB|Tower Tycoon|Palmer}} loaned the three titans from Brandon in order to awaken [[Reg]]igigas, who later joined {{adv|Diamond}}'s team.

[[Candice]] owns all the members of the legendary titans. They debuted in ''[[DPA14|A Novel Test!!]]''.

* In {{g|Colosseum}}, the event needed to unlock the legendary titans is referenced in Battle Mode's Single Battle Mount Battle. The 90th Trainer, {{tc|Area Leader}} Axley, has a party consisting of Regirock, Regice, Registeel, {{p|Flygon}}, {{p|Relicanth}}, and {{p|Wailord}}. Flygon is likely included because it can learn {{m|Dig}}, which is required to unseal the titans.

* Regirock, Regice, and Registeel are the only [[Generation III]] [[legendary Pokémon]] to not be featured in [[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]].

* All of the legendary titans, including Regigigas, share a weakness to {{type|Fighting}} moves, making them the only [[legendary trio]] to share a common weakness, but not a common type.
