Leafeon (Japanese: リーフィア Leafia) is a Grass Pokémon introduced in Generation IV.

Physiology
Leafeon is a mammalian, quadruped Pokémon. Its body is tan with dark brown paws. It has several green sprouts growing all over it with the longest one on its head, in front of four tan tufts of fur. Leafeon's ears and tail have a leafy appearance. It has brown eyes and a small, brown nose. This Pokémon's cellular structure is similar to plants, which allows it to perform photosynthesis and purify the air around it by sleeping under patches of sunshine; it gets its energy in this way instead of eating. It is a pacifistic Pokémon, preferring not to fight. Its aroma is similar to fresh grass in its youth; as it ages, this fragrance bears more of a resemblance to fallen leaves.
Leafeon is an Eeveelution that bears similarities to both cats and foxes. Its body is tan colored. It has one shade of dark brown that is carried out on the tip of its paws, as its eye color, and in the center of the ear. It has sprouts growing all over it, making it look more like a plant. It has a longer sprout of its forehead that takes a bit of an 'S' shape. Leafeon ears and tail both share a leaf-like quality.

Gender differences
None.

Special abilities
Leafeon can use any attack that Eevee knows with the addition of Grass attacks. Its Razor Leaf since it can learn Leaf Blade, X-Scissor, and other slicing attacks. As a fully-evolved Pokémon, Leafeon can learn Hyper Beam, and Giga Impact. It can also clean and purify the air around it.

Behavior
It is pacifistic, preferring to obtain food with photosynthesis than competing with other Pokémon and foraging.

Habitat
As an Eevee, it chooses to live anywhere it wants. From there, it can evolve to its surroundings. In this case, Eevee has lived in a forest and evolved into Leafeon.

Diet
Pokémon food
It gets its food from Synthesis; if there is no sunlight, it will eat fresh leaves.

Trivia
Trivia
* Leafeon is tied with Umbreon and Vaporeon for the tallest Eeveelution.
* According to the Diamond and Pearl Pokédex, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Umbreon have identical footprints.
* According to the Diamond and Pearl Pokédex, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Umbreon have identical footprints.
* As the Eterna Forest is not accessible in HeartGold and SoulSilver, it is impossible to access the Moss Rock to evolve Eevee into a Leafeon in the games. The same applies for Glaceon, though instead of Eterna Forest it is 217 with the Ice Rock. Both have to be traded from to be obtained. It is also inaccessible in Black and White; however, players can now evolve Leafeon and Glaceon by leveling up next to the Moss Rock in Pinwheel Forest and the Ice Rock in Twist Mountain, respectively.
* As there is no Moss Rock in HeartGold and SoulSilver, it is impossible to evolve Eevee into a Leafeon in these games. The same applies for Magnezone, Probopass, and Glaceon. All have to be traded from Diamond to be obtained.
** This also occurs for Magnezone and Probopass, who both evolve in Mt. Coronet, a location in Sinnoh. They, like Leafeon and Glaceon, now evolve in a different location in Generation V: Chargestone Cave.
* Despite Eevee being obtainable before the Pokémon League in Pokémon Black and White Versions 2, it can not evolve into Leafeon until after the Elite Four is defeated. The same applies with Glaceon.
* Despite Eevee being obtainable before the Pokémon League in Pokémon Black and White Versions 2, it can not evolve into Leafeon until after the Elite Four is defeated. The same applies with Glaceon.
* Leafeon was designed by Atsuko Nishida.
* Leafeon is the only Eeveelution that has the same Special Defense as its Eevee; all other Eeveelutions have a higher Special Defense than Eevee.

Origin
Origin
Leafeon bears many similarities to cats and foxes, such as its behaviors like tree climbing, and its cry sounds similar to a cat's meow or a foxes chirping. Its coloration appears to be inspired by the markings found on animals like the Siamese cat or the red fox. It also has traits of plants, such as the ability to utilize photosynthesis. The brown marks of its paws give the appearance that they were buried. In Japan, and around the world, there are stories about domesticated animals that upon entering the forest become wild and eventually become one with it. Leafeon could be an exaggerated example of this story.
