Release information
Release information
This card was reprinted in the Base Set 2 reprint set, which was only released outside of Japan. It was also reprinted in reverse holofoil as a Best of Game promotional card, with an error giving that print 60 HP. A remake of this card was also included in Platinum.
This card was included in the Base Set with artwork by Ken Sugimori, first released in the Japanese Expansion Pack. It was reprinted in the Base Set 2 expansion. It was reprinted again as a Reverse Holofoil given out at BattleZone events in February 2003 as part of the Best of Game promotional set. This print has a gold "Winner" stamp in the bottom right corner of the artwork. A Jumbo cards version of this print was also released, but lacks the Reverse Holofoil treatment. A Retro card with the same artwork by the same artist was included in the Platinum expansion, first released in the Japanese Galactic's Conquest expansion.

Trivia
Trivia
* The Best of Game print erroneously has 60 HP instead of 70 HP. This is most likely intentional because Wizards of the Coast openly threatened Nintendo in a defense operation dubbed "Scorched Earth Mode", in response to the expiry of their license for printing Pokémon cards in 2003.
Origin
Origin
This card's Pokédex entry comes from Red and Blue, though it is slightly reworded.
This card's English Base Set, Base Set 2 and Best of Game Pokédex entries comes from Red and Blue, though it is slightly reworded. The Japanese entry comes from Red and Green. The Platinum Pokédex entry comes from FireRed.
