Hall of Origin: Difference between revisions

In {{game2|Diamond|Pearl|Platinum}} it is an [[event]]-only area, located above the [[Spear Pillar]]. It is accessible only after the {{player}} has obtained the [[Azure Flute]] via [[Mystery Gift]] and returns to the Spear Pillar after entering the [[Hall of Fame]] and obtaining the [[National Pokédex]]. Due to the Azure Flute not being officially distributed, it is impossible to legitimately access the Hall of Origin.

In [[Pokémon Legends: Arceus]], the Hall of Origin is no longer an event-only area, and can be accessed during and after [[Task#Missions|Mission]] 28 "The Deified Pokémon". It is not labeled as the Hall of Origin in this game, and is instead treated as part of the [[Temple of Sinnoh]].

In [[Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl]], the location can also be visited legitimately in remake. To access it, the [[Azure Flute]] is obtained if both there is Legends Arceus save data (With all Story Missions completed), the game's patch 1.3.0 or later and obtained it at [[Twinleaf Town]] [[Player's house|Player's room]]. Then the player must go to [[Spear Pillar]] and Azure Flute event will activate and allow Hall of Origin to appear. Here the player will encounter Arceus and have chance to capture it.

In [[Pokémon Legends: Arceus]], the Hall of Origin can be accessed legitimately. After defeating [[Volo]] and {{p|Giratina}} in [[Task#Missions|Mission]] 27 "Seeking the Remaining Plates", the player will obtain the final [[Plate]] as well as the Azure Flute. The player then has the opportunity to play the Azure Flute on the [[Temple of Sinnoh]]'s dais at any time. However, the stairs to the Hall of Origin will not appear until the player has caught every non-Mythical Pokémon in [[Hisui]]. The player will also receive a message from Arceus on the [[Arc Phone]] if they attempt to do so, repeating the message, "Seek out all Pokémon."

Once the player has caught all non-Mythical Pokémon in Hisui, playing the flute will cause a glowing stairway to appear on the north side of the temple, which the player will automatically climb. After climbing the stairs, the player will find themselves in the Hall of Origin, which has a completely different design than in [[Generation IV]]. Arceus will appear behind the player, transform their Arc Phone into the [[Mysterious Balm]], and immediately challenge them. After Arceus is defeated, it will grant a piece of itself to the player, along with the [[Legend Plate]]. The Hall of Origin can be revisited at any point through Temple of Sinnoh in order to have a rematch with Arceus. The Hall of Origin can also be visited for Arceus's Eternal Battle Reverie challenge by going to sleep at [[Jubilife Village]].
