The '''Colorless type''' is one of nine [[Elemental Types (TCG)|TCG elemental types]].
The '''Colorless type''' (Japanese: '''{{ruby|無色|むしょく}}''' ''Colorless'') is one of the eleven {{TCG|Type|TCG types}}.  It is represented by the color white, and symbolized by a six-pointed star.

The Colorless type contains all {{t|Normal}}, {{t|Flying}} and {{t|Dragon}}  Pokémon found in the Game Boy adventures. For example, {{p|Snorlax}}, {{p|Pidgeot}} and {{p|Dragonite}} are all Colorless types in the TCG.
The Colorless type contains most {{t|Normal}}- and {{type|Flying}} Pokémon found in the main series video games. For example, {{p|Rattata}} and {{p|Tornadus}} are Colorless types in the TCG. However, many Flying-type Pokémon have not had Colorless cards. Instead they tend to be printed as their other type but with the weakness and resistance associated with a Flying-type Pokémon.

It is also the only type whose attacks can be activated by any type of energy, as all energy cards provide [[Colorless Energy (TCG)|Colorless Energy]].
Prior to the {{TCG|Dragons Exalted}} set, the Colorless type also contained all {{type|Dragon}} Pokémon found in the main series video games. For example, {{p|Bagon}} and {{p|Dratini}} used to be Colorless types in the TCG. However, Dragon-type Pokémon are now {{TCG|Dragon}}, though they could still be Colorless if they are part Normal or Flying in the video games, such as with {{p|Drampa}} or {{p|Noivern}}.

The Colorless type can be seen as the "neutral" type of the game, as attacks with an {{TCG|Energy|Energy card}} cost listed with {{TCG|Colorless Energy}} may use any of the other types of Energy to count for that Colorless. Due to this, unlike the other types, there is no {{TCG|Basic Energy card}} associated with Colorless; all cards providing only Colorless Energy are {{TCG|Special Energy card}}s.
