A '''Burglar''' (Japanese: '''{{tt|かじばどろぼう|Kajiba Dorobō}}''' ''Post-fire Burglar'' in [[Generation I|Generations I]] and {{gen|IV}}, '''{{tt|かじばドロボウ|Kajiba Dorobō}}''' ''Post-fire Burglar'' in [[Generation II]], '''{{tt|どろぼう|Dorobō}}''' ''Burglar'' in [[Generation III]]) is a type of [[Pokémon Trainer]] that first debuted in the [[Generation I]] games. They are generally depicted as suspicious men sneaking around with sacks thrown over their backs. In [[Generation I]], they are only found in the burned-down {{ka|Pokémon Mansion}} and [[Cinnabar Gym]]. Those in the Pokémon Mansion only challenge the player if they are talked to directly, not when they see the player. If defeated, they will sometimes drop an item as they flee. Burglars tend to drop large amounts of money.  

They specialize in {{type|Fire}} Pokémon. They also use {{p|Koffing}}, which may be used as a {{m|SmokeScreen|quick escape method}}, similar to that of the anime's original series.
