While adding sprites to the glitch articles I noticed that some of the articles had the standard Pokémon infobox (with the categories removed), while others had none whatsoever. I also noticed that the majority of the infoboxes had "N/A" or "None" in most of the fields while the relevant information was in a list in the article itself. I propose that we make a seperate infobox for glitch Pokémon that includes relevant glitch-specific information (hexadecimal identifier, Pokédex number, equivalents in other versions, whether its Pokédex entry is terminated correctly, etc). Good idea? <code>abwayax (t/c)</code> 20:26, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Okay. I've looked over a few articles and from what I can tell, the consensus within Bulbapedia is to not treat the glitch Pokémon as "real Pokémon". On the MissingNo. article there was actually an edit war with some people attempting to classify it as a "Pokémon", but from what I can tell the clear consensus is that MissingNo is not a "Pokémon". To that end, I modified the Template:GlitchPkmnInfobox so that it doesn't put the page in any Pokémon categories. However, recently MissingNo. was put into Category:Normal-type Pokémon again. Should it be acceptable to include glitches in the type categories? I'm only asking because I don't want to revert that edit and inadvertently start another edit war. Here's something that's really been bugging me. Where exactly do we draw the line between a notable glitch Pokémon and a non-notable one? Obviously MissingNo. is notable, and apparently the 20-something other Gen I glitches listed are too... but what about the 120-something others that aren't? Furthermore, should glitch items and attacks deserve pages? Even pages such as List of glitch items...? :::IMHO this is unnecessary. What would this suffix accomplish, in terms of disambiguation? The Pokémon articles are titled like that to disambiguate them versus articles on significant members of that species (Pikachu disambiguates to Pikachu (Pokémon) and Ash's Pikachu) since individual Pokémon usually don't have their own names (Ash's Pikachu is just called Pikachu, as are most of the Pikachu in the world). AFAIK "MissingNo." or ".4" wouldn't refer to anything else, and even if we did decide otherwise, making a template to link to them would be a bit excessive - how many times would we link to one of these articles in article space? It's rather interesting, although I don't know how to make a page on it. Tell me if you want more info. [email protected] Kazzam 18:38, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
* I was arguing with my sister because I wanted the GB Sounds on and she didn't. So, I discovered that if you...  :
  -Fly to Cinnabar Island;
  -Head south and start surfing;
  -Head east to Route 20;
  -Turn on the GB Sounds;
  -Head west to Cinnabar Island (water part);
  -Turn off the GB Sounds
The music will completely fade. TheOriginalOne 20:06, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
I found a glitch on Red a long time ago where I saved the game right in front of the nurse lady in the pokemon center in lavender town. I started the game back up, and I couldnt move, but my player would turn. it was a long time ago so sorry, I do not remember all the details.  I have never been able to do it again either. i dont think i had beaten the 4th gym yet.Hjmott 16:04, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

We need to make a Glitch Pokémon-friendly movelist template thingy, one that DOESN'T link to that of different generations, as recent edits to 'M prove.  Also, evolution templates.  If they won't allow us to use the regular evolution template for 'M's article, then....  I'm [[User:Missingno. Maybe GlitchRB_## and Glitch_Y## etc, where the # are the Hexadecimal identifiers? For example, 'M would be GlitchRB_00 and Z4 would be GlitchY_C3. [[Five question marks#Hex 00|????? The only problem in Generation I that I see is with Missingno. which has multiple Hex IDs, but it could simply stay the way that it is now.

:As for actually getting the data by obtaining the glitches this way, you would probably be able to do some reverse maths to find out their base stats by manipulating their IVs and changing their levels. Moves would be easy - just use Rare Candies to level through every level from 1 to 100, then use the AR to go to level 101 (meaning that we won't know what move it learns at level 101, which would need to be investigated the normal way) and leveling with Rare Candies through to level 255, since Pokémon can exceed level 100 due to the Pokémon merge glitch. --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 06:15, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

i recently was playing my platnum game with the action replay and my friend told me to breed my duskull with my porygon. well i got 5 eggs after 1 hour. so after about a week, all the eggs hached. the first 2 were normal male duskulls, the seconed 2 were shiny female duskulls, and the fith egg hatched into something odd.it had the face of a duskull but with a green eye, and its body was a  glowing hexagon.its name registered as duskull, but i've decided to call it digiskull(as in digital duskull)it only knows 2 moves, thunderbolt & nightshade, and when ever it battles a metal type or electric type, it instantly deals 50% damage. Mailjesuru7

Notability
What are the notability requirements for glitch Pokémon in each generation? It seems that this is the way:
* Generation I: All glitch Pokémon that are available without cheating
* Generation II: All are notable, because they are all glitch Pokémon that are available without cheating
* Generation III: All glitch Pokémon that are available with and without cheating
* Generation IV: All glitch Pokémon that are available with and without cheating
* Generation V: All glitch Pokémon that are available with and without cheating
But this discussion has brought up many new "glitch Pokémon" which are simply Pokéstar Studios Pokémon. A video (made with an translation patch) here shows them. Are they notable for their own articles, or should they remain a minor detail? --Abcboy (talk) 16:16, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
:No, I don't think anything cheating-exclusive should be considered a glitch Pokémon. However, I'm also hesistant to just delete information that is already there. It also causes issues with the index umber lists, as they are important as placeholder Pokémon. --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 06:50, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
::Cheat-only glitch Pokémon should absolutely be included in the database. Game hacking devices don't add new coding to a game--they reach into areas of the coding that weren't implemented in the finished product, or reassign existing values. Those Pokémon are in the game cartridge as placeholder values, and thus officially exist as glitches. Granted, the priority should be on glitch Pokémon which can be obtained by exploiting gameplay glitches, but when the database is in such a state that all known glitch Pokémon of that nature have more than stubs dedicated to them, there's no harm in making some headway on the thousands of placeholder-entry glitch Pokémon. == A wild Egg appeared [uhhh] ==
Ummm...so...I was messing around and all with my emulator (using cheats...) and encountered "Egg" It looks umm...messed up...Egg...
well, i guess its important to know what i did...
I used an action replay with the following cheats:
-Wild Pokemon Modifier
-[UK]900x Item Slot 1 (items bag part)
Then:
1. I activated the Pokemon modifier cheat (slot 1: 649 Masterballs (pokemon); slot 2: 100 Ultra Balls (Level))
2. Activated the 900x Item Slot 1 Cheat (slot 1: 900 Masterballs)
3. Tossed Masterballs to leave it equal to "650"
4. Activated the encounter part of the wild pokemon modifier cheat
5. "A wild Egg appeared"
It sorta looks like a giant floating Silcoon/Cascoon with who knows what by it...
It has the cry of the pokemon Jynx
And also it seems to die instantly once you attack it
[Is this enough information?]
My expression: "What the..."

Mythbustin' is done!
Guys,after extensive research i figured some things:-
* Missingno could be a baby kanghaskan.I mean, it evolves into kanghaskan and could evolve into cubone with a kanghaskan skull or something.if u can cheat to get it and try to evolve it ythat would really help.
*its name could stand for 'missing number' so it could lack some code.that explains it coming.it wasn't fully removed.
*I have a firered game that is totally bad.When naming yourself or a pokemon u cant see the letters.only see the houses in a city and the people and pokemon look like missingno. routes are empty and grass is only seen when walking over it.did it get hacked or something.it was  like this from the start.
*2 words-Buried alive Littleroot leader shravan(ability leader)
:Missingno. could not possibly be baby Kangaskhan. I know this is a popular rumor, but it is absolute garbage. The first problem here is that Missingno. does not evolve into Kangaskhan; that is 'M (00), another glitch Pokémon that has the same sprite as Missingno. In regards to 'M (00) being baby Kangaskhan, that is untrue as well: 'M (00) evolves into Clefairy as well, so that is just as significant as evolving into Kangaskhan, and the only property it has the even resembles a baby Kangaskhan is that it evolves into Kangaskhan (which I just pointed out proves nothing).
:The string "MISSINGNO." is an error handler. Missingno. is 39 different Pokémon slots that have been wiped, so when called they use the error handler name. Missingno. does come from "Missing Number"—everyone knows that and it is on the article.
:You've probably got a modded game.
:Buried alive is a pointless creepypasta with nothing to do with Project GlitchDex. --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 06:50, 31 December 2012 (UTC)

Additionally, since ♀ . has a glitch screen around it, and that can be removed by showing the sprite in Super Game Boy mode, should additional versions be provided?  (The back sprite is basically all black unless viewed that way.)  --Pokechu22 (talk) 18:36, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
