In the Anime

Brandon is shrouded in mystery for most of the Battle Frontier saga. Unlike the other Brains, his silhouette is not shown on its own during the opening and is only seen in the centre of the group shot. Trainers will only find out the location of the Battle Pyramid after they have collected the other six symbols. When Ash finally gets his sixth in AG170, he learns that it is located near Pewter City.

However, Ash was possessed by an ancient king of the Pyramid who battled Brandon's Regirock with Ash's Sceptile. Sceptile unfortunately was defeated, though Ash eventually regained control of his body and the Pyramid was moved to an area near the Indigo Plateau.

For their second battle, Ash's Torkoal squared off against Brandon's Registeel. But he too was defeated by Brandon's legendary Pokemon.

When Ash and co met up with Brandon in a forest, a few episodes later, Brandon and Ash fought an un-official battle. Ash (whose old team of Charizard, Bulbasaur and Squirtle had just returned) chose his mighty Charizard to face off against Brandon's Dusclops. But once again, Brandon was the victor.

Ash is now preparing to challenge Brandon for a third official battle for the Brains Symbol and will face his Regice. Keep watching to see how he gets on.

Brandon owns a Regirock, Registeel, Regice and Dusclops.

In the Manga

Brandon took witness to Emerald's battle with Noland and immediately refined his facility for him, just in case. Nothing else is known.
