Black & White Theme Decks
Theme Decks are an integral part of the trading card game, being released with just about every one of the main expansions. Furthering the release of the Generation V Pokémon, the three theme decks for the Black & White expansion feature the final evolutions for Unova's starter Pokémon: Serperior, Emboar, and Samurott. These three theme decks each contain a code for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, allowing players to use these theme decks while battling in the game.
Additional Black & White TCG information revealed
With releases complementing nearly all prior main expansions, Theme Decks continued to be an integral part of the localized TCG in the Back & White Series. Three Theme Decks were released on April 6, 2011 to promote the Black & White expansion ahead of its launch, which collectively focused on the final evolutions of Unova's first partner Pokémon. The Green Tornado Theme Deck featured Serperior, the Red Frenzy Theme Deck featured Emboar, and the Blue Assault Theme Deck featured Samurott. Each deck included a paperboard sheet of damage counters and status markers, a coin, a large fold-out sheet with a playing surface for two players on one side and playing rules on the other, another sheet with a summary of new features for the Black & White Series on one side and a Black & White card checklist on the other, a deckbox, and a code card to unlock a digital version of it in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.

In order to teach beginning players how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Trainer Kits with two preconstructed half decks are released. It also contains two booklets to guide players through the game, a coin, an exclusive deck box, a Black & White Series booster pack, and a code card to unlock the cards in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online.
From around July/August 2011, Ultra Pro released more TCG accessories bearing analogous designs to the Black & White available earlier in the year.

Emerging Powers Theme Decks
Emerging Powers Theme Decks
As with almost every expansion, the Emerging Powers expansion features two theme decks, which are named Toxic Tricks and Power Play. These two theme decks feature the Pokémon Scolipede and Krookodile, respectively, whose cards were, at the time, English exclusive. Much like with Black & White, the theme decks were released earlier than the main expansion: being released on August 17th, 2011. These theme decks each contain a code for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, allowing players to use these theme decks while battling in the game.
Black & White: Emerging Powers expansion announced
Two Theme Decks were made available from August 17, 2011 to promote the Emerging Powers expansion ahead of its official release on August 31. The Toxic Tricks and Power Play Theme Decks respectively focused on the Megapede Pokémon Scolipede and the Intimidation Pokémon Krookodile. Due to the composition of Emerging Powers, numerous cards were released before their Japanese equivalents; Scolipede and Krookodile were two such cards, which were not available in Japan until September 2011 in the BW. Each deck came with a sheet of damage counters and status markers, a coin, a 2-player playamt and rulesheet, a card checklist, a deckbox, and a Pokémon Trading Card Game Online code card.

The Excadrill Half Deck contained an assortment of Fighting Pokémon and the Zoroark Half Deck included several Darknesss; both also incorporated numerous Colorless Pokémon, plus multiples of Trainer card and Energy cards.

The Black & White Trainer Kits were packaged with everything required to play the game at a basic level, including a 2-player Appendix:Glossary (TCG) and rulesheet, a sheet of Appendix:Glossary (TCG) and Special Condition markers, and a coin. Kits also included a pair of turn-by-turn guide booklets (one for each Half Deck), a deck box to hold all the enclosed cards, a Black & White booster pack to encourage integrating other cards, and a TCGO code card. Redeeming the code card would unlock the Night Hunter Theme Deck in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, which combines both Half Decks into a full 60-card deck. The kit was originally due for release on August 3, 2011, but was delayed for unknown reasons until September 12.

2011 World Championships Decks
2011 World Championships Decks
Released in October 2011, shortly after the 2011 World Championships, were the 2011 World Championships Decks. These four decks (The Truth, Megazone, Reshiphlosion, Twinboar) were the decks used by the three champions in each of the three divisions of Juniors, Seniors, and Masters, as well as the Masters finalist. Each Deck comes with a Worlds 2011 themed Deckbox, a booklet about the championships, and a non tournament legal print of the sixty card deck.
Following the results of the 2011 World Championships in August 2011, four Pokémon Trading Card Game players that placed highly from each age bracket had their decks recreated as commemorative products. The 2011 World Championships Decks were released in October 2011 and comprised replicas of Junior Division champion Gustavo Wada's Megazone deck, a variant of the MegaZone deck archetype; Senior Division champion Christopher Kan's Reshiphlosion deck, a variant of the TyRam archetype; Masters Division finalist Ross Cawthon's rogue deck named The Truth; and Masters Division champion David Cohen's MagneBoar deck named Twinboar. In addition to the cards, each deck was packaged with a Worlds 2011-themed deck box and a booklet about the Championships.

These blisters also included three Noble Victories booster packs, one Noble Victories Sampling Pack containing three Common cards from the set, and a coin featuring Victini. ===Next Destinies Theme Decks===
Next Destinies Theme Decks
The Next Destinies expansion brought with it two Theme Decks: Explosive Edge and Voltage Vortex. They featured the two main legendary Pokémon of Unova, Reshiram and Zekrom, respectively. Unlike the first three expansions of the Black & White Series, these Theme Decks were released the day of the set, instead of weeks prior. In addition, their featured cards, Next Destinies and Next Destinies, used the Pinstripe Holofoil, instead of the Cracked Ice Holofoil typically used in Theme Decks. Each included a Pokémon Trading Card Game Online code that allows the deck to be unlocked online.
The Theme Decks for the first three expansions of the Black & White Series were all released weeks ahead of their general sale; however, the pair associated with the Next Destinies expansion were released on February 8, 2012 in tandem with the set's launch. Explosive Edge and Voltage Vortex respectively featured the two main Legendary Pokémon of UnovaReshiram and Zekrom—and were both packaged with a sheet of damage counters and status markers, a coin, a 2-player playamt and rulesheet, a sheet covering the new Pokémon-EX for the expansion with a Next Destinies card checklist, a deckbox, and a Pokémon Trading Card Game Online code card. The deck's featured Pokémon were included as Tinsel Holofoil cards instead of traditional Cracked Ice Holofoil cards.

Various blister packs were released in stores on May 9, 2012 to promote the Dark Explorers expansion. Continuing the pattern set by Next Destinies, blister packs distributed in North America had different contents to those distributed in other countries overseen by The Pokémon Company International. The international Three Pack Blisters came in two varieties: one with a Cracked Ice Holofoil Luxray promotional card, and one with a Cracked Ice Holofoil Krookodile promotional card. These blisters were enclosed with three Dark Explorers booster packs and a coin featuring Zekrom and Reshiram first released in the Next Destinies Theme Decks.

The North American Blister Packs came in four varieties: two different Two Pack Blisters containing either one of two Stage 2 evolutionary families, and two single pack Blisters containing either one of two Stage 1 evolutionary families. The Stage 2 Blisters contained either the Luxray family or the Krookodile family, all Cracked Ice Holofoil. The Stage 1 Blisters contained either the Persian family or the Lucario family, with the final stage as a Cosmos Holofoil, and also contained a Dark Explorers 3-card sampling pack. These Blisters contain the promotional cards—Luxio and Riolu—that previously weren't released in North America in the international Next Destinies Blisters; however, the two promos are not given the Cosmos Holofoil treatment, making both releases contain exclusive cards.

The Stage 2 Blisters were eventually discontinued in favor for the old, international style of Three Pack Blisters. Dark Explorers is the last set to have them.
In North America, Dark Explorers was the last expansion to feature this style of Stage 2 Blister, with subsequent expansions returning to utilize the clamshell Three Pack Blisters used prior to the change with Next Destinies. Similar blister pack configurations would be used in .

Kyurem Box
Dark Explorers Portfolios
To finish off the Tao trio's collection of promotional boxes, the Kyurem Box was made available starting June 2012. Similar to the Black & White and Black & White released in October 2011, the Kyurem Box included four booster packs, a Kyurem figure, a new promotional reprint of the Noble Victories card from Noble Victories, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online that unlocks the exclusive promotional card. Unlike the Reshiram and Zekrom Boxes, however, the booster packs included in this box were one Black & White booster pack, two Emerging Powers booster packs, and one Next Destinies booster pack.
The Dark Explorers expansion was also accompanied by a pair of card portfolios manufactured by Ultra Pro. The 9-Pocket Portfolio features the booster pack artwork of Darkrai and Venusaur, while the 4-Pocket Portfolio features the Theme Deck artwork of Cofagrigus and Zoroark. Up to 180 cards can be displayed in the 9-Pocket Portfolio and up to 80 cards can be held in the 4-Pocket Portfolio.

Evolved Starter Boxes
Emboar/Serperior/Samurott Boxes
Released July 2012 were the Evolved Starter Boxes. Featuring the Unova Region Starter Pokémon's final evolutions, these boxes are appropriately named the Superb Serperior Box, the Excellent Emboar Box, and the Spectacular Samurott Box. Each box contains a Cracked Ice Holofoil reprint of either Black & White, Black & White, or Black & White, and one of the three Black & White. Each box also includes one of the three evolved starter figures previously released in the Black & White, as well as two booster packs: one from the Call of Legends expansion and another from the Emerging Powers expansion.

A trio of boxed products with similarities to the Black & White was released in July 2012, these boxes focused on the final evolutions of the Unova first partner Pokémon. The Superb Serperior Box contained a Cracked Ice Holofoil variant of Black & White, a copy of the Green Tornado Theme Deck, a Serperior figure previously released in the Black & White, and two booster packs. The Excellent Emboar Box came with a copy of the Red Frenzy Theme Deck, a Cracked Ice Holofoil version of Black & White, a sculpted Emboar figure complete with base, and two booster packs. The Spectacular Samurott Box was similarly packaged with a Cracked Ice Holofoil variant print of Black & White, a Blue Assault Theme Deck, two booster packs, and a Samurott figure. The booster packs available in each box were typically one each of Call of Legends and Emerging Powers.

Dragons Exalted Theme Decks
Dragons Exalted Theme Decks
The Dragons Exalted expansion features two theme decks, which are named DragonSnarl and DragonSpeed, that were released August 15th, 2012. These two theme decks feature the Dragon, and contain the Brutal Pokémon Hydreigon and the Mach Pokémon Garchomp, respectively, as exclusive Cracked Ice Holofoils. Each Theme Deck includes a Pokémon Trading Card Game Online code that allows the deck to be unlocked online.
Dragons Exalted decks to feature Hydreigon, Garchomp
DragonSnarl and DragonSpeed were the two Theme Decks released together with the Dragons Exalted expansion on August 15, 2012. Much like the equivalent Japanese expansion, the accompanying decks focused on the Brutal Pokémon Hydreigon and the Mach Pokémon Garchomp, both of which represented the Dragon type that made its localized debut in the expansion. Each deck was packaged with a sheet of damage counters and status markers, a coin, a 2-player playamt and rulesheet, a sheet with a Dragons Exalted card checklist and information on the new Dragon-type Pokémon cards, a deckbox, and a TCGO code card.

Early product images featured the incorrect card in the image. As there are two different Hydreigon and Garchomp featured in the Dragons Exalted expansion, the early images featured the alternate Hydreigon and Garchomp cards, instead of the ones actually present in the deck.
Early retailer images incorrectly featured Dragons Exalted and Dragons Exalted as each deck's showcased card instead of the actual Dragons Exalted and Dragons Exalted. Both were included as exclusive Cracked Ice Holofoil cards.

Dragons Exalted Blisters
Dragons Exalted Blisters
Released with the Dragons Exalted expansion on August 15th, 2012, four different Blister Packs appeared in stores, because the Stage 2 Blisters were discontinued in between the release of Dark Explorers and Dragons Exalted. The Three Pack Blisters came in two varieties: one with a Cracked Ice Holofoil Chandelure promotional card and one with a Cracked Ice Holofoil Scolipede card. These Blisters included 3 Dragons Exalted booster packs, and a coin featuring Reshiram and Zekrom, originally included in the Next Destinies Theme Decks. Also released were the Stage 1 Blisters, each containing either the Excadrill family or the Lilligant family, with the final stage as an exclusive Holofoil, as well as one booster pack, and one preview pack of three Commons.

Emerging Challenges Box
Emerging Challenges Box
Released September 18th, 2012, was the Emerging Challenges Box, a box that seemingly repackaged older material in order to make room for newer merchandise. Much like the Black & White, the Emerging Challenges Box contained 1 Theme Deck and 2 booster packs, as well as exclusive promotional cards. Differing from the previous boxes, however, the Emerging Challenges Box contained 3 Holofoil cards instead of 1 Holofoil card and a figure. One of the four Theme Decks from the Emerging Powers and Noble Victories expansions—Power Play, Toxic Tricks, Fast Daze, or Furious Knights—was available in the box, as well as 1 booster pack from Black & White, and another from either Emerging Powers or Noble Victories. The promotional cards included were a Mirror Reverse Holofoil Stoutland evolutionary line. The Herdier and Stoutland were from the Black & White expansion, while the Lillipup was one of the BW Black Star Promos: BW52.
The Emerging Challenges Box was released on September 18, 2012 and focused on earlier expansions from the Black & Whte Series. Each box was packaged with one of the four Theme Decks from the Emerging Powers and Noble Victories expansions (Power Play, Toxic Tricks, Fast Daze, or Furious Knights), a pair of booster packs—one from Black & White and another from either Emerging Powers or Noble Victories—plus Holofoil prints of the Stoutland evolutionary line. The Herdier and Stoutland cards were Parallel Holofoils sourced straight from the Black & White expansion, while the Lillipup, which features the same Parallel Holofoil treatment, was a new BW Black Star Promos.

The Lillipup promotional card originates from the Cobalion Strength Deck, a deck released in Japan 19 months earlier. The other Pokémon cards from the deck were included in the English Emerging Powers expansion 13 months earlier. It is unknown why the card was withheld for such a long time before finally being released September 2012. Ironically, the card features a 2011 copyright instead of a 2012 copyright.

In order to promote the mini set releasing October 5th, various Blister Packs will be released to promote Dragon Vault, a 20 card mini expansion containing all Holofoil cards. Each Blister Pack will contain 3 booster packs, each containing only 5 cards, an code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, as well as one of five unique promotional cards. New blister pack announced
The Black & White Series saw the release of the Pokémon Trading Card Game's first special expansion—an expansion where booster packs were only available in specific merchandise and could not be purchased from or as booster boxes. The first such expansion was Dragon Vault, which comprised 21 Tinsel Holofoil cards and featured Pokémon purely of the Dragon type following their debut in the mainline Dragons Exalted expansion. Dragon Vault Blisters were the only products associated with this expansion, each of which included three Dragon Vault packs, a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, and one of five possible Mirror Holofoil variant cards from Dragon Vault bearing the expansion's logo. Each booster pack contained five cards instead of the standard ten.
