'''Anthony''' (Japanese: '''アノキ''' ''Anoki'') is a [[character of the day]] who appeared in ''[[EP029|The Punchy Pokémon]]''. He operates the {{DL|Gym|Fighting Spirit Gym}}, an elite facility for {{type|Fighting}} Pokémon.

Anthony was {{pkmn|training}} his {{p|Hitmonchan}} to compete in the upcoming [[P1 Grand Prix]]. He was so determined to train and win, that he was neglecting his family. His daughter, {{OBP|Rebecca|EP029}}'s feelings convinced {{Ash}} and {{an|Brock}} to compete in the P1 Grand Prix to defeat him.

Ash entered using his {{AP|Primeape}}. Anthony noticed early on that the Pig Monkey Pokémon was very strong. Anthony ended up losing in the semi-finals to {{TRT}} and the {{p|Hitmonlee}} they had stolen from {{OBP|Giant|EP029}}, another competitor. Eventually, Ash defeated Hitmonlee in the finals and won the P1 Grand Prix. Afterwards, Anthony offered to train Primeape further, and Ash agreed.
