effect=Discard a Basic Pokémon or Evolution card from your hand. Choose 1 of that card's attacks. Skill Copy copies that attack. This attack does nothing if {{tt|Alakazam {{Star}}|this Pokémon}} doesn't have the Energy necessary to use that attack. (You must still do anything else required for that attack.)  {{tt|Alakazam {{Star}}|This Pokémon}} performs that attack. |

Alakazam was the last Pokémon to be made into a [[Generation III]]-era card, its first appearance in the TCG since {{TCG|Skyridge}}. Its evolutionary relatives, {{p|Abra}} and {{p|Kadabra}}, were never made into cards during the Generation III era. While Abra later appeared in the [[Generation IV]] set, {{TCG|Mysterious Treasures}}, Kadabra has yet to resurface in the TCG, likely as a precaution to prevent a repeat of the {{wp|Uri Geller}} lawsuit. Because of this, it could be argued that Alakazam was made a Pokémon {{Star}} to avoid releasing Abra and Kadabra cards.
