Pokémon Card Game DPt1: Galactic's Conquest (拡張パック「ギンガの覇道」) is the name given to the first expansion of cards from the Japanese series of cards, Pokémon Card Game DPt.

Information

Galactic's Conquest is the first expansion in the Pokémon Card Game DPt series and the first set based on Pokémon Platinum and, more specifically, Team Galactic.

The Pokémon featured in the set are not generally based on Pokémon owned by Team Galactic, but the set introduces a new type of Pokémon, "Pokémon SP". Pokémon SP have an "SP" symbol in the bottom-left-hand corner of the illustration box; however, there are different types of Pokémon SP. In Galactic's Conquest, Pokémon SP are represented as "Pokémon G", with the "G" at the end of a Pokémon's name made to symbolise the fact that it is a Galactic's Pokémon. All Pokémon G are Basic Pokémon and have an illustration of their owner in the bottom-right-hand corner of the illustration box. The set includes 13 Pokémon G, two of which are Pokémon LV.X.

The set also carries on from Intense Fight in the Destroyed Sky and includes three classic cards from the original sets: Scyther, Electabuzz and Hitmonchan.

Trivia

  • The set includes Drapion LV.X, continuing a trend in which promotional LV.X cards are reprinted in the set released immediately after their promotional release. This was also the case with Lucario, Garchomp, Porygon-Z and Heatran.
  • The set sees the return of Rainbow Energy for the first time since its 2006 print in EX Legend Maker. For the first time in Organized Play, it was unplayable in the 2007-08 Modified format.
  • Galactic's Conquest is the first set since Pokémon Card Game DP1 to be released alongside an Entry Pack rather than with a deck kit or two half decks.
