Swarm (Ability)
Swarm (Japanese: むしのしらせ Bug's Foreboding) is an ability introduced in Generation III that strengthens Bug moves in a pinch. This means that when a Template:Type2 move is used, it will do 150% of its damage if the Pokémon using it is below 30% of its HP.
In Mystery Dungeon, it will do double the damage if the Pokémon using it is below 25% of its HP.
In Pokémon Emerald, this ability also increases the rate in which the cries of wild Pokémon could be heard on the field, while in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl it increases the chance of encountering a Template:Type2 Pokémon in the wild. Twelve Pokémon have this ability, all of them Template:Type2.
