Synopsis

The mystery of the museum is solved and Ash is able to battle. However, he first has to solve some puzzles in order to get to the Normal Type Gym Leader Aloe who uses a Miruhog and Yorterry.

Trivia

• Similar to Shapes of Things to Come!, this episode is the fifteenth episode of the series, the first Japanese episode of a new year, and featured a Gym battle.
• This is the first time Ash has to solve a puzzle to get to the Gym Leader in the anime.
• Considering that the next episode after this one is entitled "再戦シッポウジム！新技炸裂！！ (Shippou Gym Rematch! Explosive New Move!!)", Ash will most likely lose to Aloe. Also, Aloe's Yorterry is said to have evolved into a Haderia. This directly paralells Ash's second gym battle in Hoenn vs. Brawly. Ash lost his first gym battle with Brawly after Brawly's Makuhita evolved into a Hariyama. This may be hinting towards remakes of the Generation III games
