The Japanese Blue page mentions that the catch rates were adjusted between Red/Green and Blue--which I'm assuming means the rates we have now are the Blue ones, since the base of our Red/Blue games was the Japanese Blue. Does anyone have any data on catch rates for the first 151 in the original Red/Green? If so, shouldn't the differences be noted here? Zdododododo 01:56, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

If Red and Green have unique catch rates from the rest of the series, I think that shouldn't clutter this article but instead be compiled into a separate article, with its link on this article. --Pie ~ 02:28, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
Should Missingno. be on this list? Being a glitch and all, it's catch rate dosn't really concern most people.
No, because it's not a Pokémon. It's a glitch. TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 20:19, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
So, it can be removed? How do you find out the catch rate of a glitch anyway? -User:PokemonTrainer7738
Dunno. Who thinks arceus should have catch rate of 1? -File:Ani258MS.gifOrigamiGuy Lieks MudkipzFile:Ani258MS.gif 19:21, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Good question, I dunno. I imagine that it's in the data, since Missingno. is filler, but I do think it ought to be removed. This is a list of Pokémon by catch rate, not a list of Pokémon and programming oversights that mimic them by catch rate. TTEchidnaFire echy 19:56, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
If Arceus had a catch rate of 1 or 2, it'd be possible for Master Balls to fail on it, especially when its HP is full. Kyoukipichi 06:31, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Should Dialga have such a low catch rate, I caught mine with a Quick Ball. Deemack199725 04:39, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Uncatchable Pokemon

I'm curious what makes some Pokemon, such as the ghost Marowak from gen 1, unable to be caught. Do they have a catch rate of 0, or is there some other determining factor? Redstar 03:10, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

If they had a catch rate of 0, the ball would simply never shake. Instead, they dodge the ball completely, indicating that there is some other factor. Blueapple128 15:19, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
