Breeding

If you breed a Shedinja with a Ditto, will you get a Nincada or another Shedinja? It doesn't say anywhere on the page. Since Shedinja is just Nincada's old exoskeleton brought to life, it would be weird if it could produce a whole new Nincada on its own. - Buddy Christ

HP

Does the HP of Shedinja ever raise above one with leveling?

Nope. It stays 1 forever. --Zeta 19:07, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Best type?

Due to Shedinja's ability, Wonder Guard, is there any combined set of types that would leave it immune to damage (not counting status-affecting moves and weather)? Casmith 789 15:18, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Dark/Ghost and Ghost/Dark, the types of Spiritomb and Sableye, combine to have no weakness (except when Foresight, Odor Sleuth, and/or Miracle Eye are used). Neither of them have Wonder Guard, though. TTEchidna 03:09, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, after finally catching a Spiritomb I figured this out for myself! Casmith 789 08:46, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Poke ball

Ive tried evolving a nincada twice in my diamond game and it only gave me a shedinja the second time after id bought a poke ball, in both instances i had a spare space in my party. Perhaps you only need a poke ball in diamond/pearl?

I've always done it with an extra Pokéball. --DarkfireTaimatsu 08:59, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
I was wondering because in the trivia section it states that one isnt needed. --Itxi 09:02, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Then where does the Pokéball in my inventory go once I've obtained Shedinja, hmm? --DarkfireTaimatsu 09:09, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Presicely, I just thought it might be better to start a discussion on it first than just deleting the text. --Itxi 09:11, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
You're wrong. I just tested it out. I got a Nincada in my party with an extra slot. I didn't have any Poké balls. When it evolved, I still got a Shedinja. If a Poké ball dissapears when you get a Shedinja then you're being ripped off. --ケンジガール 09:20, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
What game are you playing? I said that i tried it with a pokeball and without and it only works with. This is on Diamond --Itxi 09:28, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
This is Emerald. I don't know. Maybe the mechanics are different in in Diamond. But you definetly don't need a Poké Ball in Emerald.
Hopefully that edit covers it all :) --Itxi 09:36, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
We may want to clarify that the Poké Ball needed must be an actual Poké Ball and not any other type of Ball, eg. Great Ball, Net Ball, or Dusk Ball. ESeamus 07:41, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Recent Edit

Is the whole thing about the hole in the back being visible needed? I mean, of course it's going to be visible, your looking at it from a behind perspective, AND it is a video game, they don't steal your soul. --Midnight Celtic 18:39, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Well, how it appears in the anime would be way more realistic. You're right, if you die in a bloody video for example, or get hurt, you're perfectly fine in real life. So I think that trivia is pretty pointless, it's not like it's a goof. TheBlazikenMaster 11:20, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
I think it's wrong because you have to look insde the hole, not look at it from afar. the back sprite shows it from afar, whereas if you wanted your soul to be stolen, you would have to put your eye up close to Shedinja... XD. I'll remove it. TESHIGIGAS 11:34, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
I removed it weeks ago... somebody must have added it again...Crystal Lucario 11:50, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
