- See the "move" button at the top of most pages, between "history" and "watch" (or "unwatch" in some cases)? When you archive, the best thing to do is click on that button and move the page to
User:David aipom/Archive Nor something. That way, the history of the page is preserved with the archive, so people can go back and look at that more easily. In the meantime, your new page starts more or less completely from scratch, so all the stupid comments and two-day-old arguments some jerk puts on your page don't even show up in the history. - I don't think there's anything wrong with your way; that is to say, there's no reason to try to do it now, as that'll probably screw things up.
