Maya (Japanese: マヨ Mayo) is a character of the day from Mastering Current Events!.
Maya is the granddaughter and student of McCann. Ash and his friends ran into Maya and McCann while McCann's Scizor was battling Maya's Chimecho.

| Chimecho is Maya's only known Pokémon. Like her grandfather's Scizor, Maya's Chimecho also used winds to fly and was used by Maya against her grandfather in battle. Although Chimecho was powerful, it was unable to stand up to Scizor's skill in the air and was defeated, accidentally knocking Piplup out in the process.
Chimecho's only known move is Psywave. | ||
