This article mentions a way of getting glitch items HM08 and HM09 in Gold/Silver. What do these non-existent HM's do? Are there moves tied to them in Generation II or does attempting their use break the game? I'm curious about these glitch items. ~ [[User:Male Gardevoir|Male Gardevoir]]

== Attacks of hatched Pokemon? ==
According to some Gameshark codes for Pokemon GSC, everything about the egg is shifted back four slots in memory.
This causes the third attack to shift to the Pokemon species, and the fourth attack to shift to the Held item.
If this is true, then the hatched Pokemon's attacks should correspond to its ID number and the first four bytes of its current EXP.
Like this:
The hatched Pokemon's ID number used to be 54321. In hexadecimal this is 0xD431. So the hatched Pokemon has its first two attacks  as 0xD4(Mean Look) and 0x31(Fury Attack).
The hatched Pokemon used to hatch with 125 EXP (at Level 5). In hexadecimal this is 0x00007D. Taking the first four bytes only, it has no third or fourth attack because they are at 0x00 (blank).
I don't want to put this in the article because I can't test it myself. If someone could test this, that would be great.
