'''Shoal Cave''' (Japanese: '''あさせのほらあな''' ''Shoal Cave'') is a location in [[Hoenn]]. It is north of Mossdeep City on Route 125. Shoal Cave has two different access points, only reachable during certain times of the day due to tides. During low tide, a player maybe able to access an ice room, the only place to find Snorunt in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald.

The tides in Shoal Cave switch every six hours, at 9 AM, 3 PM, 9 PM, and 3 AM.
==Geography==
Shoal Cave is a cave north of Mossdeep City. The cave has been carved into the side of rocky mount rising from the ocean. At certain times of the day, the tides rise, flooding most of the cave. This water can be surfed on to access areas where the player couldn't reach before, while the tides are low. And vice verse, while low tide, the player can access areas, which couldn't be accessed in high tide. Such as the ice floor, which is the lowest floor in the cave, is mainly ice. To access the ice floor, HM04 Strength is needed to move boulders. Shoal Cave is the only place to find Shoal Salt and Shoal Shell.

==Obtaining the Shell Bell==
Four Shoal Salts and four Shoal Shells are found in Shoal Cave. If all four Shoal Salts and four Shoal Shell are in the bag, the player can exchange them with the old man in the first room, for the Shell Bell. The player can recover the Shoal Salt at low tide and can recover the Shoal Shell at high tide.
