+We really need some guild lines on what a 'recurring' pokemon is. Groudon, Kyogre, Zekrom, Reshiram and Florges only appeared in two or three parters. In other words, while Groudon appeared in two episodes, it only appeared in one story, one forty minuet episode if you like. We don't put characters like Lewis or Ridley from the BW two partners down as tempory companions because they are no more re-occurring than A.J. or Otashi because they only 'occurred' once.
