Khoury's Croconaw: Difference between revisions

Khoury's {{p|Croconaw}} first appeared as a {{p|Totodile}} in ''[[DP143|An Egg Scramble!]]''. When Khoury introduced it to {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}} it was feeling depressed and was not eating its [[food]]. However, {{an|Brock}} crushed some [[Chesto Berry|Chesto Berries]] and sprinkled them on its food, cheering Totodile up as it eagerly ate the food. Khoury later used Totodile's {{m|Water Gun}} to signal to {{an|Dawn}} and {{an|Lyra}} where he {{Ash}} and {{an|Brock}} were while they were looking for {{TRT}}, who had stolen [[Dawn's Cyndaquil|Dawn's Pokémon egg]]. It was seen again at the beginning of [[DP144|next episode]].

The subsequent [[DP145|episode]], Totodile was used to help track down a wild {{p|Gible}} that was attacking people near a [[Pokémon Center]]. After getting into a scuffle with {{AP|Buizel}}, Khoury was eventually able to track it down and Totodile was able to match moves with Gible, wearing it down allowing Khoury to capture it.

In ''[[DP147|Bagged Then Tagged!]]'', Totodile was used in the tag battle alongside Lyra's {{p|Chikorita}} against [[Ash's Infernape|Ash's Monferno]] and Dawn's Cyndaquil. In the heat of battle, Totodile evolved into a Croconaw and Khoury learned from his [[Pokédex]] that it could use {{m|Hydro Pump}}. Despite the type-advantage it had over its opponents, Croconaw was unable to stand up to Monferno's {{m|Mach Punch}} and was defeated.

When {{AP|Pikachu}} and {{TP|Dawn|Piplup}} first introduced themselves to Totodile, it ignored them, being annoyed over its {{pkmn|Trainer}} giving it food it didn't like, though this appears to only have been because Totodile was in a bad mood, as it was later seen being friendly with the other Pokémon. As a reflection of its Trainer, Totodile seems to care for Lyra as a friend, prompting her to get on stage at the festival and alerting her and the others that her {{TP|Lyra|Marill}} had wandered off. It also seems to be quite the competitive Pokémon, fighting with {{AP|Buizel}} while helping his Trainer try to catch a {{p|Gible}} and fighting an unorthodox battle with Gible, proving itself to be better.
