It'd be a fairly massive undertaking but I think it'd make for a great improvement, without the legal risk that comes with hosting or linking the music itself on the wiki. —AndyPKMN (talk) 02:03, 25 December 2014 (UTC)

: Chipping in here, I think this would be a great idea. Thorough documentation on where in the video games particular soundtracks are used is hard to come by, and there's no reason Bulbapedia can't do this. I could start by adding it for Mystery Dungeon-related pages. Qzekrom (talk) 06:07, 26 October 2019 (UTC)

::I've actually always been disappointed that various infoboxes don't include the music that plays, such as the various expandable VS Trainer infoboxes and the General area infoboxes, and I see it as such a let down that this wasn't thought of to be included in the first place. Not only does it, in my opinion, totally belong in the jurisdiction of Project Music (despite me personally not being a part of it), but it would also make it clearer about certain trivia points, like how Sendoff Spring uses the Sinnoh Route 210 music or that the Double Battle with Rival Silver against Lance and Clair in the Dragon's Den uses the normal Johto Trainer battle music (not that I'm sure they could have used other music, despite Lance being Champion and Clair being a Gym Leader, since neither of them were acting in their capacity as those positions at the time, even though they use their titles in the battle). Additionally, I think it would also make more people interested in the ongoings of the music in the games themselves if it were more clearly displayed like any other general and important information about areas and battles in the games. And... although I am aware that doing this would require editing basically <i>every</i> area page, in addition to changing a handful of templates, to me, it seems like it would be a worthwhile endeavour. Music is an integral part of video games, so like, the pages about places with music (unfortunately, nearly all of them) should probably have it listed somewhere!
