You don't have to announce your edits on the talk pages before you make the edits. You can easily just change the information, and explain your reasoning for the edit in the edit summary box. It's a lot easier for you, because you only have to make one edit, and it also is easier for those who are checking your edit. We tend to look at edit summaries, not talk pages. Hope this helps.
