She met {{Ash}} and {{ashfr|his friends}} during ''[[Pokémon the Series: Black & White]]'' and returned at various points in Ash's {{pkmn|journey}} through [[Kalos]] in ''[[Pokémon the Series: XY]]''.

 

As revealed in ''[[BW138|Go, Go Gogoat!]]'', {{TP|Alexa|Gogoat}} was Alexa's first Pokémon; she caught it after it helped her back up a cliff to her campsite. Together they traveled all over the [[world]], recording different situations of Pokémon habitats, such as {{p|Swanna}} for example. All this dedication made Alexa become a highly regarded reporter.

In ''[[BW137|Celebrating the Hero's Comet!]]'', Alexa led the group to the ruins where a mysterious comet would pass. Along the way, they met a mysterious girl named [[Anima]]. For a scuffle involving {{TRT}}, Alexa revealed her {{p|Noivern}} who teamed up with Pikachu to defeat [[Jessie]], [[James]], and {{MTR}}. The next day, Alexa discovered that she had lost all of the recordings from the night before and the group ended up wondering what Anima's real identity was.

In ''[[BW138|Go, Go Gogoat!]]'', Ash, {{an|Iris}} and {{an|Cilan}} got lost from Alexa's Gogoat while she was doing a story. Unbeknownst to them, Gogoat befriended a boy named [[Tony]], that Gogoat decided to help find [[Tony's parents|his father]]. As they searched, Alexa told Ash the story of how she met Gogoat and upon meeting her Pokémon, Alexa and Ash decided to help Tony achieve his goal. After getting the family together, Alexa thanked Gogoat for its hard work.

In ''[[BW141|Best Wishes Until We Meet Again!]]'', while Ash parted ways with Iris and Cilan, Alexa remained with him and followed him to [[Pallet Town]]. Before saying goodbye, Alexa gave Iris and Cilan two lunchboxes with typical food from [[Vermilion City]]. In the [[BW142|next episode]], already in Pallet Town, Alexa took the opportunity to do an extensive interview with {{an|Professor Oak}}, right after she told Ash that [[Viola|her sister]] is a [[Gym Leader]] in the Kalos region. During the night, at a dinner at Ash's house, Alexa explained a little how the [[Kalos League]] worked, which motivated Ash to want to travel to that region. At the end of ''[[Pokémon the Series: Black & White]]'', Alexa accompanied Ash as he traveled to Kalos.

Alexa met Ash again in ''[[XY005|A Blustery Santalune Gym Battle!]]'', during their reunion, Ash introduced {{an|Clemont}} and {{an|Bonnie}} to Alexa. Right after showing Santalune Gym to Ash and his friends, Alexa watched Ash's battle against Viola. During the battle, Alexa met {{an|Serena}}, who was interested in being reunited with Ash. After Ash was defeated by [[Viola]], the two talked about Ash and shortly after, Alexa decided to train Ash with her {{p|Noivern}} and her move {{m|Gust}}. The training continued in the [[XY006|next episode]], the next day, Alexa watched Ash's [[rematch]] against Viola. After Ash finally managed to beat Viola, Alexa said goodbye to the group and wished everyone good luck.

Since her debut, Alexa is shown to be rather forgetful, a trait her {{TP|Alexa|Gogoat}} seems to have gotten used to. She carries out her journalism work with pleasure as well as earnestness, often working late into the night. In ''[[BW141|Best Wishes Until We Meet Again!]]'' she became so engrossed in her work that she failed to realize the crisis {{TRT}} was causing. Despite this, she is clever and a competent battler as shown in ''[[BW137|Celebrating the Hero's Comet!]]''. She chose to delete her data of the deserted island in ''[[BW135|Mystery on a Deserted Island!]]'' in respect for the Pokémon who had been guarding its secret.

She is very cheerful and is often smiling and enthusiastic, a characteristic she shares with {{Ash}} with whom she gets along very well. She calmed the young {{pkmn|Trainer}} down after his confrontation with [[Rodney]] and comforted him after saying farewell to {{an|Iris}} and {{an|Cilan}}. In ''[[XY001|Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin!]]'' she was notably disappointed when Ash got upset about not being able to battle her sister. She shows more focus or even aggression in ''[[XY005|A Blustery Santalune Gym Battle!]]'', especially when battling Ash. She was surprised that Serena was the person to inspire Ash in ''[[XY006|Battling on Thin Ice!]]'', indicating that she wanted to be the one to inspire him.
