 Note that the wild battles will be Double Battles as well. To catch one Pokémon, you must knock out the other, otherwise it is "impossible to aim". You can come back after Cheryl is escorted, and then wild battles are single. It is also possible to train here and even help with level up your weaker Pokémon due to the fact that your Pokémon are completely healed after a battle whenever someone travels with you. But remember that once Cheryl leaves you, this will no longer work.
