The name of the elder (the guy with the mustache who tells the prophecy) isn't revealed in the movie. However, in the [[Pokémon the Movie 2000 Trading Cards]] published by [[Topps]], he is named "Tobias." I found pictures of all the cards from that set (I can provide the link, but I wasn't sure if there might be some legal issues... about a non-official site posting pictures of the cards...?).
