:::I can't quite remember, but I don't think that you have to wait to be called by [[Baoba]] for the upgrade to take effect. He ''will'' call you if you meet the upgrade criteria, but it's pretty easy to miss his call (e.g., if you change location just as he calls you, if you're in an area that doesn't have any signal or if your gaming session doesn't last long enough for any NPC to randomly call you). Sadly, I don't think that there's any in-game indication as to which Safari Zone areas have already been upgraded, so you might just have to make sure that you've fulfilled all of the criteria yourself and then just try a bunch of wild battles to see if seviper appears.
