'''VS Kyogre & Groudon XI''' (Japanese: '''VS カイオーガ & グラードン XI''' ''VS Kyogre & Groudon XI'' or '''引かれあう超パワー''' ''Powers That Attract'') is the 249th round of the [[Pokémon Adventures]] {{pkmn|manga}} in the {{chap|Ruby & Sapphire}}.

{{Adv|Ruby}} and {{Adv|Sapphire}} watch in horror as the Blue and Red Orbs are absorbed into [[Archie]] and [[Maxie]]'s bodies, Ruby realizing that they'll never be able to retrieve the Orbs if they're absorbed completely. He sends [[Delcatty (Pokémon)|Coco]] after them, but Archie knocks it aside, and the Orbs finally consume the two men's minds, causing them to scream like animals as Kyogre and Groudon's wills overtake them. Now it's Kyogre and Groudon who are using the Orbs to control Archie and Maxie, and the two men use their new power to shoot blasts of energy at Ruby and Sapphire; it's only Coco's {{m|Assist}} turning into [[Rono]]'s {{m|Iron Defense}} that saves them.

Now completely insane, Archie and Maxie both attack, Archie leaping for Sapphire and [[Zuzu]] rushing to shield her with {{m|Mud Sport}}. At the same time, Ruby grabs Sapphire to protect her, and Sapphire suddenly realizes she's felt this same sensation a long time ago...

But there's no time to reminisce--Maxie snatches Ruby up by the throat, while Archie grabs Sapphire, and the world glows white as they're all lifted high in the air by some mysterious force. Ruby realizes what's happening: Kyogre and Groudon are both summoning the power of the Orbs, and everyone is swept up out of the [[Seafloor Cavern]] by the mighty force, including all of the Aqua and Magma grunts and all of the Pokémon.

Groudon and Kyogre have both cut swathes of destruction through Hoenn. Groudon has reached [[Lilycove City]], leaving fire and ruin in its wake, while Kyogre heads in the same direction, raising vicious storms as it presses forward. Both ancient Pokémon seem set on restarting their feud, and are making for the place where they once fought long ago.

In [[Slateport City]], [[Captain Stern]], Tuga, and the chairman of the Pokémon Fan Club enter the mobile Pokémon Office, hoping they can be of some use, but [[Gabby and Ty|Maryann and Tyler]] stay behind, Tyler saying there's something they still have to investigate. Tyler points out the nearby  {{p|Absol}} and says it's the same Pokémon that disappeared after the incident at the [[Rusturf Tunnel]]. Absol leaps, leaving behind ash from [[Mt. Chimney]], and Tyler accuses it of always being around when disasters occur, wondering whether it's connected to all of the terrible events lately. Maryann, however, questions Absol's intentions. Perhaps instead of ''causing'' all the disasters, it's trying to ''warn'' people about them?

Hearing this, Absol leaps in front of Maryann, who correctly guesses it wants her to ride on its back. Explaining to Tyler that the only disaster worse than what's already happened would be a direct battle between Kyogre and Groudon, Maryann leaps onto Absol's back, taking off, with Tyler calling out for her to wait.

Ruby and Sapphire are still being dragged along inside an energy vortex along with Archie and Maxie, but suddenly their paths diverge. They are taken in separate directions as Maryann and Tyler try to figure out where Absol is taking them in such a hurry. As they race along, they catch glimpses of Ruby and Sapphire each shooting by, and then Tyler realizes where Absol--and those two beams of energy--are headed: the crater of [[Sootopolis City]].
