===The Electric Tale of Pikachu===

{{OBP|Ash Ketchum|EToP|Ash}}'s Charizard made a few appearances in [[The Electric Tale of Pikachu]]; however, the circumstances of its capture seem to differ in the manga. While [[Damian]] appeared in ''[[ET07|Pikachu's Excellent Adventure]]'', he was separated from his Charmander because he was injured, not because he abandoned it. At the end of the chapter, the two reunited in the [[Hidden Village]].

Charizard appeared one last time in ''[[ET18|Pikachu's Plan]]'', where it was used to battle {{OBP|Drake|Orange League}} in the [[Orange League]] finals. Charizard, now listening to Ash perfectly, battled against [[Drake's Dragonite]]. Despite being much larger and putting up a good fight, Charizard was eventually defeated, leaving Ash with only Pikachu left to use.
