::It turns out that there are Portuguese counterparts to those ovens, although not in Algarve. The [https://photo620x400.mnstatic.com/53c4019460f47088bd93b2bc0ac9369d/fornos-de-ceramica-_-fabrica-de-ceramicas-de-massarelos.jpg Fábrica de Louça de Massarelos] had several of these, of which only two remain. Coincidentally, the same number as the ones found in Alfornada.
