Alex Davis

Alex Davis (Japanese: ノボル Noboru) is an anime-exclusive Pokémon Trainer who appeared in Power Play. He is voiced by Kayzie Rogers in English and 岸尾大輔 Daisuke Kishio in Japanese.

Announcing himself as "Alex Davis from Cherrygrove City" at the beginning of the episode, he challenged Gary Oak to a Pokémon Battle using his Alakazam. Alakazam first used Zap Cannon, which Gary's Umbreon dodged, leading Alakazam to use Psychic, which had no effect at all. Using his Umbreon's finishing move Hidden Power, Gary was able to defeat Alex without much trouble. Ash, Misty, and Brock, who had been traveling nearby saw the battle, leading to another encounter between Ash and his rival.

In the English version, Alex is given a Cockney accent.
