Dawn's Pachirisu: Difference between revisions

* Dawn's capture of Pachirisu marks the first time a main character has ever caught an {{type2|Electric}} Pokémon, (Ash received his Pikachu) and it is the first Electric-type owned by a main character besides {{AP|Pikachu}}.

* For [[DP021]], [[Professor Oak's lecture]] is about Dawn's Pachirisu.  He writes this [[Pokémon senryū]] about it: パチリスが　おめめさめたよ　パッチリす

* In the [[dub]] of ''[[DP039|Steamboat Willies!]]'' it is revealed that Pachirisu is the youngest of Dawn's Pokémon, as well as second youngest of all the Pokémon belonging to {{Ash}} and [[Ash's friends|company]], second only to {{TP|Brock|Happiny}}, who was just hatched [[DP038|an episode earlier]].

* Pachirisu is currently Dawn's only Pokémon whose voice is not changed in the dub. Buizel also kept his Japanese voice, but Dawn no longer owns him.  

* The long stripe on Pachirisu's head indicates it is possibly [[Gender|male]]. However, it was seen wearing a {{wp|cheerleading}} outfit along with Dawn's {{TP|Dawn|Piplup}} and {{TP|Dawn|Buneary}} in ''[[DP061|Team Shocker!]]'', indicating it could be female. Because of this, it is difficult to determine Pachirisu's gender.

* Pachirisu is the only Pokémon that Dawn owns that is not part of an evolutionary line.

* Pachirisu seems to be almost a parallel to [[May's Skitty]].  

# Both were the third Pokémon obtained by their trainer.

# Jessie had her heart set on catching them and using them for contest purposes.

# Both share a similar attitude and habits. These would include chasing their tails, having a lot of energy, and running away from their trainers.

# Both use their Japanese voice actresses in both dubs.

* Pachirisu's illness in [[DP094]] is similar to that of [[Ash's Pikachu]] in ''[[AG001|Get the Show on the Road!]]''.

* Pachirisu is {{an|Dawn}}'s only Pokémon that cannot legally learn {{m|Double Hit}}.
