Trivia

  • Much like Misty's guest appearance in The Princess and the Togepi and A Togepi Mirage, May makes a return.
  • An instrumental version of I Won't Lose! ~Haruka's Theme~ is used during the battle with Team Rocket. Pokémon Symphonic Medley is also used as background music.
  • Chiaki seems to be based on the Rich Boy trainer class while Chinatsu is based on the Lady trainer class.
  • Instead of Professor Oak's Pokémon lecture, the end of the episode featured a memorial to The Power of One. This is part of a countdown to Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin.
  • The dub's title is similar to the Japanese title, as, since both have the same words, A Full Course Tag Battle! and Tag Battle for a Full Course!. There appears to be no English phrase that this title references, making it the first episode in awhile to simply be a translation of the Japanese title.
  • May took one episode (possibly one day) to get from Snowpoint City to Valor Lakefront. However, it took several days to go from Veilstone City to Valor Lakefront for Ash, Brock and Dawn much shorter journey than May's.
  • May's Eevee probably evolved into Glaceon on their way to or departing from Snowpoint City.

Errors

File:DP076 Error.jpg
May borrows Ash's glove.
  • In one scene, one of May's gloves are colored like Ash's gloves.
  • In one instance, Chinatsu's Munchlax is seen using Giga Impact. Munchlax cannot learn this move, though Snorlax can.
