 My opinion is this: If it's really bad to have multiple articles having the same subject, then yes, maybe there should be a split, otherwise I don't know, because it's clearly Ash's Pikachu. I guess the best alternative to do is what's done to anime characters who are also game characters. And maybe a clickable link that says "Ash's Pikachu in the games" and then make an article about Ash's Pikachu in the games, if that's necessary.
