'''Ursaluna''' ([[List of Japanese Pokémon names|Japanese]]: '''ガチグマ''' ''Gachiguma'') is a dual-type {{2t|Ground|Normal}} {{OBP|Pokémon|species}} introduced during [[Generation VIII]], in {{g|Legends: Arceus}}.

In [[Kitakami]], there is a particular Ursaluna, known as the "'''Bloodmoon Beast'''", that has a unique [[#Form data|form]] called '''Bloodmoon''' Ursaluna.

A special Ursaluna is worshipped in Hisui for being a descendant of the ten ancient Pokémon blessed by {{ga|Arceus}}. It is one of the {{hi|Ride Pokémon}} who resides in [[Crimson Mirelands]] and assists humans.

Taller, bulkier, and lighter in color than a regular Ursaluna, its appearance is otherwise largely similar, except for the full moon-like circular mark on its forehead, which is larger and bright red, resembling a blood moon. Its left eye, which allows it to see in the dark, is black with a green pupil smaller than the right eye's pupil and has what appears to be a scar near the eye. Its hands, legs, chest, back, and the left half of its face are covered in grey mud that is as hard as iron. Unlike regular Ursaluna, this Ursaluna walks on its hind legs (though it still runs on all fours).  

Bloodmoon Ursaluna is the [[Signature move|only known Pokémon]] capable of learning the [[move]] {{m|Blood Moon}}, and the [[Signature Ability|only known Pokémon]] that can have {{a|Mind's Eye}} as an Ability.

==Trivia==

* Ursaluna, along with {{p|Wyrdeer}} and {{p|Kleavor}}, are the first [[List of cross-generational evolution families|cross-generational evolution]]s that evolve from the original form rather than a regional form to be introduced since {{p|Sylveon}} in [[Generation VI]].

* Prior to {{g|Scarlet and Violet}} v3.0.0, if the player has Bloodmoon Ursaluna registered in the Kitakami Pokédex, its {{Shiny}} form is viewable in the Pokédex if they also either have or have had a Shiny regular Ursaluna. As Bloodmoon Ursaluna is Shiny-locked (prevented from being Shiny), this is the only way to see its Shiny form in-game.

** In 3.0.0 onward, the game was hardcoded to prevent this from occurring, making Bloodmoon Ursaluna the only Pokémon prevented from appearing as Shiny in the Pokédex, (even via [[cheating]] to obtain it as Shiny, or to try to force the Pokédex to display it).
