Got rid of the note that players should not save in the Mystery Zone. You can not save in the Mystery Zone because the menu doesn't work in the Mystery Zone.

Pics?
Hey guys, umm as you can tell I'm kind of a new user on here and I was wondering if anybody here will be kind enough to add the picture of Darkrai's retracted head and white "plume" when it's defending itself? Here's a picture of it that I have recently posted on my 5 years-old photobucket account ---> Darkrai's plume --HT Sasha (talk) 04:13, 24 September 2012 (UTC) HTSasha123
:All images on Bulbapedia are uploaded and managed over on the Bulbagarden Archives. Once you upload the file over there, you will be able to insert the image on the articles here. Make sure you upload your images in .png format, as that is the type of files used for anime images. Hope this helps you out. --Pokemaster97 21:25, 23 September 2012 (UTC)

DarkRai Name Origin and Character Design
"rai" pronounced rye is hindi for king. From wikipedia : "Rai is a historical title of honour in India[...]It is derived from Raja (king, prince or chief)." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rai_(Indian)
Hence, this plays into the character background and design. First, the character has a design of a Medieval Count. Second, the character has a mystical, other worldly, spiritual yet fantastical quality to it that can be seen in Indian stories.
Also, to an above post, the "Rey" in spanish might have the same etymological roots as "Rai".ZoroFan (talk) 03:07, 15 February 2013
Also, Darkrai might be based on the Cthulhian stories of other-dimensional beings that would cause onlookers to spiral into deep madness. Given that the generation Darkrai was released in dealt with other dimensional Pokemon, just like itself, it seems likely that the Darkrai aspect of causing debilitating nightmares was likely a shout-out to the Lovecraftian legacy.ZoroFan (talk) 03:18, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
Added origin
I was browsing through wikipedia about Morpheus and I discovered that there were other dream deities, Like Phobetor the God of Nightmare
here's the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phobetor
so would it be ok to put this in the origin section of the trivia?

" It can also go around objects it is attracted to several times"
What does that mean? It says " It can also go around objects it is attracted to several times". Anything can go around objects several times. Can we please elaborate this? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 17:10, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
possible inspiration
I haven’t seen this talked about before, but I think that darkrai May be inspired by the nocnitsa of Slavic folklore. Here are some similarities I noticed:
-both can cause nightmares
-both can be warded off by having a certain object nearby while you are asleep (noctitsa can be warded off with a stone ring, while darkrai is warded off with the lunar wing. )
-they have some visual similarities
•nocnitsa is commonly depicted as having grey hair, while darkrai has a white plume of ghostly fog that resembles hair emanating from its head
•nocnitsa is commonly depicted as levitating and having no legs, while darkrai is mostly seen floating with its legs retracted
•nocnitsa is commonly portrayed as wearing a tattered dress, whilst darkrais body slightly resembles a dress, with the spiky part at the bottom of its torso resembling a ripped cloak or gown.
