Physiology
Klang is a Pokémon resembling three interlocking gears, with six teeth on the smaller two gears and eight teeth on the larger gear. The teeth of the smaller gears are a light gray, while their central regions are much darker. The teeth of the larger gear are a medium gray and its central region is darker. The left eye of the smaller gear is a white "X", while its right eye has a black pupil and a white sclera. It has a round green nose and a small mouth that is wide open. The large gear appears to have a face with a black square for its right eye, a black circle for its left eye, and a sharply angled white frown.
Klang resembles three gears, with six teeth on the smaller two and eight teeth on the bigger one, interlocking. The teeth of the smaller gears are a light gray, while their central regions are much darker. The teeth of the bigger gear are a medium gray and its central region is also darker. The left eye of the smaller gear is a simple "X", while its right eye is very wide with a black pupil and a white cornea. It has a round green nose and a small mouth that is held wide open. The large gear's left eye is a black square, and its right is a black circle. Its mouth is a sharply angled white frown.

Gender differences
Klang can fire tiny gears at high speeds. Klang and its evolutionary relatives are the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Gear Grind. Prior to Generation VII, Shift Gear was also one of its signature moves. When it gets angry, its gears rotate faster. Klang communicate with each other by spinning their gears in different directions. Klang is often chosen as a logo for many companies in Galar. Klang is believed to be the symbol of industrial technology.
Klang are a genderless species.

Trivia
Trivia
* Klang and its evolutionary relatives are currently the only pure Steel Pokémon related by evolution.
* Klang is the only non-Legendary or Mythical Pokémon from Generation V who has yet to debut in the main series of the anime.
* Klang and its evolutionary relatives are the only non-Electric Pokémon able to learn ThunderShock.
* The idea for Klang's evolutionary line came from Ken Sugimori, while the designs were done by Keiko Moritsugu.

Origin
Origin
Klang is based on interlocking gears, more specifically the sun and planet gears. The Klink line's Shiny coloration may have been based on copper gears, as their noses have turned green as copper does when it oxidizes into such compounds as copper carbonate, forming a  patina.
Klang is based on interlocking gears, perhaps specifically the sun and planet gears.
