Vacuum-Cut (Japanese: しんくうぎり Vacuum Cut) is a typeless move introduced in Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team.

Effect
Effect
Vacuum-Cut inflicts a fixed amount of damage, much like the move Dragon Rage. It inflicts 30 or 18 damage on all foes in the room, depending on which game is being played. It is one of the only two moves exclusive to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, the other being Wide Slash. However, this excludes Excavate and Vertical Cut, both of which were taken out of the game late in development, although their TMs can be obtained through cheating devices. Due to this move being only introduced in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, no Pokémon learn it via gaining levels; however, it can still be taught to many Pokémon via TM. The type of this move is Normal.
Generation III
Vacuum-Cut inflicts a fixed amount of 35 damage on all foes in the room. No Pokémon learn it via gaining levels; however, it can still be taught to many Pokémon via TM. As the attack is typeless, it bypasses Wonder Guard. Despite being a damaging move, it is affected by Taunt.

Generation IV
Generation III
Vacuum-Cut now does a fixed amount of 18 damage on all foes in the room. This move can be affected by Normalize and have its damage increased by STAB.
By leveling up
No Pokémon learn this move by leveling up.

By TM
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, the move is no longer affected by Taunt.
Every Pokémon that can learn TMs may learn this move.

Trivia
*Vacuum-Cut is one of the only two moves exclusive to the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, the other being Wide Slash. However, this excludes Excavate and Spin Slash, both of which were taken out of the game late in development, although their TMs can be obtained through cheating devices.
*This move originated as a TCG attack.
